Kochie & Nat looked thrilled (sarcasm) with the announcement, they clearly don’t and haven’t cared for the Logies for some time.

The Logies set to shine on Seven

Television’s night of nights on Channel 7 and 7plus from 2023

The Seven Network is proud to announce it has signed a multi-year agreement with Are Media to become the Official Broadcast Partner of the TV WEEK Logie Awards.

The 63rd TV WEEK Logie Awards will be broadcast on Channel 7 and 7plus on Sunday, 18 June next year, with Seven and Are Media set to deliver a spectacular show. The location for the awards will be announced later this year.

Seven West Media Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, James Warburton, said: “The TV WEEK Logie Awards are more than television’s night of nights; they are a treasured Australian institution and a celebration of Australia’s love of television.

“We are honoured to be partnering with Are Media to bring the Logies to Australia on Channel 7 and 7plus. It’s early days but we have big, exciting plans for the awards in 2023 and beyond.”

Are Media Chief Executive Officer, Jane Huxley, said: “The TV WEEK Logie Awards has become the most anticipated event of the year for the television industry as we celebrate the most popular stars and shows on our screens. We are delighted to continue our long-standing association with the awards and equally pleased to welcome the Seven Network as the Logies’ Official Broadcast Partner.”

Looking forward to channel 9 now boycotting the awards, in response to Channel 7s low impute over resent years. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Good to see Seven getting the rights for the awards.

Haha, also can see Nine boycotting the awards too, just like Seven (ahem, the Sunrise team not giving a toots in recent years).

Congratulations Seven on getting the Logies.

I hope Seven will broadcast the Logies live coast to coast (just the Emmy Awards in the US) even if it means starting the broadcast at 5pm in WA. But if Seven insists on showing the Logies on delay outside the eastern states, then use 7plus to live stream the Logies so viewers can join in the discussion on social media without being flooded with spoilers.

Hopefully, this gives the broadcast a much-needed shakeup!

7mate could air the Logies in Perth then switch over to 7 after the news

Given the date of Sunday 18 June, interested to see what Nine might put up against it. This year the equivalent date saw the Ninja Warrior premiere .

Usually it’s on a delay when 9 aired it

Well there goes Neighbours’ last chance at redemption and recognition from last year’s awards… HAA will take the top awards yet again for the next couple of years.

Sad, but true. I can so see this happening. Home and Away will heavily appear at the Logies. We will now most likely see Kochie be nominated for his first Gold Logie too, and Karl Stefanovic will “just miss the cut”?

Not sure how Seven’s involvement means Neighbours is going to be forgotten. Even if 10 had the awards they don’t get to choose who gets what.
