IMO Ten could’ve ended their rolling coverage at 6:20 when they went to a break and had The Project start a little early and Hugh could’ve crossed to them.
I’ve never been a real fan of Phoebe Bowden but she was great tonight assisting Hugh with the rolling coverage as ScoMo was being sworn in.
Good effort by Ten today, a sign of things to come no doubt.

Mark Ferguson demonstrated why he hardly does outside broadcasts tonight. Might not have been entirely his fault, but it was woeful.

Seven News was down an average 34,600 and Nine 13,800. You might conclude that commercial TV audiences are not attracted to politics and/or with rolling coverage, there isn’t anything much new to report in the 6pm news or is it just this story that has turned viewers off?
Also, ACA had its lowest Friday 5-city audience of the year; perhaps by 7pm viewers didn’t want anothe…

The Australian released adjusted data for the news specials on Friday daytime (11am to 5pm I believe), which showed Seven’s with Michael Usher and Mark Riley came in at No 1, ABC’s was next and Nine’s 3rd.
Interesting indeed.

Seven won nationally the story states, with the ABC winning in the five metro areas. Ten doesn’t get a mention.
