Landline may not have aired in Victoria yesterday due to Daniel Andrews’ press conference at 12.30pm AEST. This week’s episode can now seen on iView.

Kerry Lonergan, who founded Landline in 1991, has been dumped by the ABC after 34 years, and last Friday (November 13) was his last day.

According to The Australian, Lonergan didn’t return to the office after the call. He’s believed to be seeking legal opinion at the urging of family and friends.

This Sunday’s episode (November 29) celebrates 75 years of ABC broadcasting in rural areas of Australia.

In a Landline special, we celebrate 75 years since the ABC first put rural reporters out on the road. We look at how far they’ve come from the early days, the challenges they’ve faced and where they’re going.
