But unfortunately, I think its a giant step backwards compared to its other namesakes (my favourite is the last one):

Surely 97.3’s breakfast team will be announced shortly.

It’s the start of 2020 with most shows returning in the coming weeks, yet still no announcement.

Unless they’re still finalising contracts? Or unless they’re planning a delayed launch like what was done with Christian O’Connell on Gold.

Waiting for Robin’s non compete to end?

Best of BBQ Bob in the meantime?

Perhaps ARN could put pride aside and invite Kim Mothershaw back or later when Bob retires?

973’s breakfast show could’ve been competitive from day 1, Oct 2001 had Kim Mothershaw and Laurel Edwards moved over from KQ.

It’s been great for KQ however to have a successful, long running bfast show.

Yes agree. It surprised me at the time when Kim and Laurel didn’t move over from 4KQ. But yes I’m glad in the end they’ve kept Laurel at least on 4KQ, as it’s helped keep KQ the success it deserves.

I heard them this morning and Daniel the afternoon
announcer was doing the breakfast shift as he was before Christmas
I’m curious now ,when will they announce who will be the new breakfast team?

Still nothing on 97.3 Breakfast ? Even if they can not yet make an annoucnement surely they could build some hype. If it is the return of Robin Bailey as predicted, and its delayed due to contractual issues why did they not just keep Bianca & Bob until it could be announced. GIven Bianca is staying with the station at this stage.

Can anyone confirm whether or not 96FM are still doing $20k for 2020?

Just looking at their website and there is no mention of it, however, it seems mix94.5 are still sticking to it.

If the comp has been spiked, very interesting that Gary Roberts would abort a tactic once it’d got to air. Lots of questions to be asked if this is the case.

Courier Mail is reporting the unsurprising scoop that Robyn will be returning to 97.3 under the headline ‘I need to laugh again’. Nothing against Robyn but I’ve never been a real fan.

Brisbane FM breakfast needs something different, not more of the same in my opinion.

Maybe she only signed this week or maybe not. But I’m sure it’s been in the bag for a lot longer. I’m a bit over the hype they create around her to be honest.

KIIS seems to have a new jingle package. Most sound great but the new news intro on the KJ show sounds disjointed and horrible. I cringe every time.
