You can cherry pick some numbers from the most recent survey which would indicate otherwise, in 25-54 daytimes, 97.3 are above B105 and Nova, while breakfast is last. In 25-54 overall share, all three are within 1%.
I think it’s fair to assume this survey is an outlier, but if they can hold close in the key demo and cut costs, they’ve done the job from a business side.
With Mix - sure I think they will handle it wrong - but I think there’s a lesson from Smooth to follow, pick the station sound and then don’t care too much about the year the music is from. New songs and songs from the 80s can all fit, provided you go narrower with the genre and be a pure Pop station. It would be one way to bring in a somewhat younger skew without alienating the old Mix audience entirely.

Any idea where the Cruise1323 listeners will go?
Who plays that music in Adelaide?
My guess is some will stay with Gold, others might go to Smooth or Smooth 80s, or Heart Hits.

How is he sounding against that music format? I always remember on-air from his 2MMM days & his work with The Shebang.
Obviously he’s not live or local,Yesterday I drove past the KIIS studio on Coronation Drive and it’s already become the ghost radio station 
as far as I know
