Legendary ITV News presenter Sandy Gall dies aged 97
The veteran broadcaster and journalist Sandy Gall has died aged 97, his family has confirmed.
Gall became one of the most familiar faces in the country, firstly as a foreign correspondent for ITN, before becoming co-presenter of News at Ten.
Probably closest to put this here: STV Scotland is renovating their 6pm news sets (and/or brand?) in Glasgow and Aberdeen.

There’s something very mock about the whole thing.
2 smash zooms (or whatever they’re called) in 90 seconds was good though.
Cameras moving too fast and the autocue moving far too slow. Go figure.
Only GMB is in this studio. The rest are from another location.
Yes at H Club Studio, apparently itv news will also be moving away from a VR set and sharing the GMB set which is interesting
What still bewilders me is that they have a guy called Ed Balls hosting the breakfast show there. If he was down here what would they name him? Ball-sie?

I don’t hate it, certainly very versatile. The weather spot looks better. Will be interesting to see how the integration into ITN News goes.
