Challenging Resilience
Amid rising rates of anxiety and depression, being more resilient has become a popular catchcry of podcasters, influencers and life coaches. But have we lost sight of what it actually means to be resilient? This episode of Insight asks is resilience really all itâs made out to be?
Back for season 2, Insightful host Kumi Taguchi invites past Insight TV show guests to talk about everything from sex and relationships to health, wealth and grief in this companion podcast series.
Whether unpacking the pressure of perfection with Olympian Geoff Huegill or exploring the impact of an unimaginable deceit with Di Sheehan, whose baby was stolen by authorities in the 1970s, Taguchi sits down one-on-one with guests who have previously shared their views on the toughest and most sensitive issues facing Australians. Now they dive even deeper to reveal their compelling and deeply personal stories.
Host Kumi Taguchi said, ââI am excited to release season 2 of the Insightful podcast and to reconnect with guests who were keen to share more of their story.
âItâs always such a privilege to hear from people who navigate life in their unique way. And as we have already met before, the conversations are deeply honest and authentic.
âSo often in the media we move on from a person or a topic, but Insightful shows us that there are always more layers to unpack.â
The eight-part podcast series illuminates bold and fascinating people, featuring one guest per episode.

SBS turns 50 in 2025 and so do more than 1.6 million Australians. Insight asks is turning 50 a big deal? What are the emotions, thoughts and concerns? From mid-life crises to menopause, finding undiscovered family members and starting afresh, should 50 be feared or embraced as a new beginning?
The SBS ombudsman has written to people who complained about the Insight episode on ME or chronic fatigue syndrome to say an investigation found the program did not breach the broadcasterâs editorial code.
âHaving provided a relevant range of viewpoints in the presentation of the topic, the program was broadcast in line with the code,â the letter seen by Weekly Beast said.
âIf you consider this response to be inadequate you are entitled to take your concerns to the Australian Communications and Media Authority.â
People living with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome who appeared on the episode had accused the broadcaster of betraying them in the final cut, filing multiple complaints to the ombudsman.
