Imposter

Double Lives Collide In New Australian Drama, Imposter.

Coming Soon To 10.

10 and Channel 5 today announced the cast of the gripping, new four-part Australian drama series, Imposter, filmed in Melbourne.

The limited series will star Neighbours legend Jackie Woodburne like you’ve never seen her before, alongside British actress and singer, Kym Marsh (Coronation Steet, Waterloo Road) and Dannii Minogue, who returns in her first locally produced television drama in more than three decades.

The stellar cast also includes Offspring alumni Don Hany (The Survivors, Heartbeat) and Jane Harber (In Limbo, The Moodys), with Charlie Clausen (Prosper, Home and Away), Jackson Gallagher (Wentworth, Home and Away), Chi Nguyen (Class of ’07, Fisk), Kabir Singh (Plum, The Tourist) and newcomer, Adeline Williams.

Set in a coastal Victorian town, Imposter centres around a bitter family feud as matriarch Helen refuses to sell her sprawling seaside hotel, despite pressure from her three adult children.

Little do they know, Helen is hiding a secret, a daughter she gave up for adoption decades ago. When Amanda suddenly appears, Helen welcomes her with open arms— but is Amanda who she says she is? The lucrative hotel is the ultimate prize, and a twisted scheme soon spirals into betrayal and ultimately, murder.

Created and executive produced by Jason Herbison (Neighbours, Heat), Imposter is produced and distributed by Fremantle Australia for 10 and the UK’s Channel 5. The series is directed by Kate Kendall and produced by Andrew Thompson.

That’s a quick turnaround. If filming was in August. And is to air THIS December.

TV Zone UK website has published first look photos of the mini-series.

If 10 is to show Imposter in December it should begin the promotions this week.

UK magazine Prima has published more photos and synopsis of Imposter. It also says that Channel 5 will show the series across four consecutive nights, from December 15 to 18.

With an airdate in the UK set, I do wonder when it will air here. Earlier poats said some time in December.

21st I believe

Promo shown during Big Brother finale tonight confirms the December 21 premiere date.

I don’t understand why 10 left it until the Big Brother finale tonight to launch a promo. It should have begun promotions a month ago with a teaser saying “coming soon”.

They really are useless.

It’s 10. They currently don’t have the budget outside of I’m A Celeb adverts…

December 21 airdate? At least we finally know now.

It’s got nothing to do with budgets. They have made the promo anyway. They just have no idea how to promote anything apart from one tent pole show.

They really don’t need to run the same I’m A Celebrity promo in every single ad break. They should have been running promos for Imposter for at least the last two weeks of Big Brother.

Nothing new that 10 work on a 2 week turnaround from promo to launch for anything outside of a flagship show.

What’s the bet they plan to show this over 4 x Sundays until Celeb premieres?

Over 2 nights - 21st and 22nd

Part 1 and 2 will be on December 21 from 8pm.

Part 3 and 4 will be on December 22 from 8.30pm.

What’s with that bad wig?

I think the bad wig is the least of this programs problems, another half baked Herbison ham by the looks of it.

And the UK will probably lap it up
