And they dropped Todd Sampson’s Why? which went to the ABC instead.
They did announce Sydney Harbour Cops at the Upfronts but no sign of that yet.

No dramas,but new game shows that are slowly turning into mostly repeats. Extended news filling slots, chat shows ending to be filled with repeats of 15 year old comedies, and multiple realities axed over last 2 years, with a renewal for a very low rating franchise for the network (traitors).
Surprised they didnt try celebrity Hunted before turfing it.

Thank god. Those shows are unwatchable. They cannot be considered as prime time content.

Hopefully true as that would be a good get. And has been rested long enough to spark some interest.
I guess their aim is to stretch MasterChef out for as long as possible. I suspect that this will be another long season like the last one that aired for over 3 months. Then extend the Big Brother season too.
I assume when Traitors airs it will only be a couple of days a week and they will leverage things like Sydeny Harbour Cops or that airport show (if it returns) and gogglebox for other nights to pad it out.
Is there a 2nd Taskmaster in the can?
If you are talking about season six of Taskmaster, it is in the can.
So they’ve got TM, Gogglebox, HYBPA, Sydney Harbour Cops to come alongside Traitors and BB after MCAU.
Dire times at 10. All that will not fill schedule
They need the NRL. That fills out Thursday & Friday nights. And even possible for Saturday night & Sunday Arvo.
So they only need shows for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday nights.
With NRL in 2028 (so still 2 years away)
They need a show for Feb to April (Sunday to Tuesday) & Gogglebox Wednesday
April to August: Masterchef (Sunday to Wednesday)
They need another show for August to September (Sunday to Tuesday) & Gogglebox Wednesday
September to November: Big Brother (Sunday to Thursday)
If they get NRL then they can have NRL round recap show on Monday after HYBPA etc.
But I don’t know if they have the

If they get NRL expect more cost cutting. I don’t watch NRl this really isn’t something that doesn’t excite me. I would prefer content I will watch.

NRL rights but no shows to promote with the extra attention. Guess it doesn’t matter if it feeds the Paramount+ machine.

That’s true but if they have some core shows it can use the NRL cross promotion etc. So that could help get advertisers & more viewers for their prime time content.
Also there would be costs with production, hiring NRL commentators and analysts etc so it’s the saviour by any means.
