I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

Wow! What a get!

It’s actually Bondi Rescue lifeguard Harrison Reid who was revealed as the Hero. There is still a Movie Star to enter, but I find it unlikely they would cast two people named Harrison.

I meant Harrison Reid - misread the subtitle

Holding Out For A Hero?

Bondi Rescue Star Harrison Reid Joins I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Our merry band of celebrities are settling into their new jungle home… and then a hero comes along! Bondi Rescue’s very own Harrison Reid was thrown into the deep end, joining our resident scream queen Tina Provis for a very frosty welcome.

Walking straight into a trial, Harrison was greeted by Tina suspended over a tank of freezing water. And who better to lend a helping hand than a lifeguard? As Tina was dunked into the freezing water, she needed to gather keys to toss to our newest celebrity recruit. Harrison then had to enter four cold storage rooms – filled to the brim with jungle surprises – while he looked for hidden stars.

And wouldn’t you know it, Harrison had a superfan ready and waiting in one of the cold storage rooms, as one of the pythons couldn’t wait to sink his teeth into the Hero’s hand and give him a proper jungle initiation.

Unbothered by the roaches, crabs, frogs, and snake bite, Harrison knew he had to make a good first impression on the camp, and the dynamic duo worked together to bring home a total of 11 stars, equalling some very happy campers!

Truly a heroic effort.

How Geelong Cats legend Zach Tuohy almost missed out on ‘I’m a Celeb’ gig

The retired 288 game Geelong and Carlton defender had a chuckle when he received an email not long after the end of the 2024 season.

“It was funny, I got an email and it just had I’m a Celebrity… Get Me out of Here! as the tag line in the email,’’ he said.

“At a glance I assumed it was just a promotional email from Foxtel or something and I went into it and actually got a good laugh out of it. I was very flattered that the opportunity was even being considered. I can remember calling my wife (Bec) and her reaction was you have to do it, go for it. I was a bit more stand-offish about it but as usual she got her way.”

Tuohy says his former Cats premiership teammates will be “properly caught off guard”.

He only told his wife and parents.

Promotional email from Foxtel, for a 10 show :joy:

Before he entered the jungle, Max said on his YouTube channel that the production team reached out to him months ago. He said he is appearing on the Australian version of the show due to his strong social media following in the region.

In the tucker trial aired tonight, Max, Matty J and Geraldine failed to land any shot in the Basket-Fall task (using the same platform as Leap of Doom task in the season premiere), but were granted one star after Geraldine caught a ball thrown by Julia. This is the first time since season 4 that celebrities only received one star at the end of a tucker trial.

Mel B was reportedly meant to compete in this season, but pulled out at the last minute and was replaced by Max.

Now that would’ve been the big name they needed, what a shame.

Hopefully they can get her in a later season such as Season 12 or something.

It is probably not uncommon that they have a couple of backups that end up on the cast. It wouldn’t surprise me if a couple of those made it on the cast this season.

I heard on a radio promo this morning (not sure if this was mentioned on the show) that the ‘movie star’ is going into the jungle on Sunday. They referred to the movie star as a female. Hopefully it is that bigger name which this cast is lacking and could be the reason why she’s joining a week later.

Mel B obviously got a better offer to be on the bear hunt show on Netflix or maybe didn’t want to do two jungle shows

Although the cast might be a little light compared to other years I have really enjoyed getting to know and rehear them. It’s one of my favourite starts to a season.

Bear Hunt was filmed a long time ago (March 2024). Most Netflix reality shows air more than 10 months after they were filmed. So that is unlikely the reason, unless once Netflix announced an airdate it changed things and she needed or wanted to be around for that.

Its obviously Melissa as she was mentioned when they first were doing clues and she’s done reality TV before?

Why would they call her a movie star though. Melissa known for TV not movies

It’s Melissa. The Riverdale poster is a dead give away. She wasn’t in that show but Riverdale is related to the character Sabrina, who’s she is most known for playing.

Is Melissa Joan hart the most guessed name in the Australian version?
