I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

Do you know?

I notice Cal Wilson opened her new Twitter account this week to post on her experience in the camp. She has been on Instagram for a few years.

The scene of Nathan Buckley’s collapse was shown in tonight’s episode. I initially thought it was related to his tucker trial earlier in the day, but Nathan later revealed it was due to his low blood sugar and light heart rate, adding both were “standard to me”. He spent 20 minutes in the medical hut to recover, taking two jelly beans to boost his blood sugar, before he was given the all clear and walked back to the camp.

Cal’s been on Twitter since 2009, she merely opened a secondary account to tweet about her experience on the show.

That Tottie Goldsmith going in tomorrow night??

When I first saw the clue I thought it was Natalie Bassingthwaighte, then I went on Twitter and everyone was saying Tottie Goldsmith.

The celebrities only got a brick in the satchel for dinner. That was a huge price to pay for them for stealing food items during the electric shock class. And it looks like the punishment would continue in tomorrow night’s episode when they would only have biscuits for dinner?

That’s the punishment for stealing the food, i guess.

No staple food though for dinner (being rice in early seasons)?

Nat Bass has already been on the show.

They said they ate it all at lunch as they were expecting dinner from their 8.5 stars.

Also in tonight’s episode, David’s secret mission was revealed and the celebrities were rewarded with a treehouse complete with a fully made up bed courtesy of Bedshed. Even if they were away for several hours for the electric shock class, how was it possible to build a treehouse and a timber staircase in such a short time?

It would have been arranged long before the show started filming. Come now.

It may have already been there in some form, either hidden or they were told not to mention it or it couldn’t been selectively edited out.

It has been there since day 1. There was an editing error in ep1……one moment it was there, albeit it empty, then next shot it was covered up with branches…. I thought it may have been an area for cameras and producers to listen and watch……but looks like an advertising op

My only criticism of this season is that the episodes are far too long. 2 hours for me is a real stretch and I find myself getting bored in that last 30 minutes. Overall though I like this cast. Sure it’s not the biggest names but it has been fun and the David twist was very entertaining.

Last night did drag on a bit, shouldn’t be longer than 90 mins. Can see why they’re doing it, but it fatigues viewers and the franchise overall.

the goggleboxers arent going to react to any of this season.

Noticed Celebrity has a personalised 10 play end card, first time I’ve seen that since they started tacking that onto the end of promos.

Whoever is dressing Julia is doing a good job because some of her outfits have been amazing. Also so glad she’s finally wearing flats instead of her chunky heels. Much safer when walking around in that sort of terrain.

I completely agree. I wish they would cut it down to 60 minutes. If they feel the need maybe they could do a celebrity uncut where they show another 60 minutes of content for those wanting more but show the main stuff in the first 60 minutes.

Bit of a mixed bag really.

Really enjoyed the premier episode for the most part. Loved the fake celebrity challenge and it ended at just the right time.

The celeb choices this year have on the whole been fairly good. Though a few are WTF why are they bothering.

Was anybody really checking for Joey Essex and his fake persona and determination to have a fake jungle romance. Beyond tiring with his shtick. Wallop.

Can Beau Ryan get any more irritating. Constantly mugging the camera, desperate for any and all attention. He always feels so phony and disingenuous and you can see his little brain cogs turning trying to spin himself as a lovable larrikin and framing himself in the best light in all situations. Total fake.

I thought Cal Wilson was supposed to be a comedian? Another year, another unfunny comedian.

Derek is beyond boring. Also his constant preaching and very special lesson segments are tiring. I want fun entertainment not being bashed over the head with social politics or perpetual victimhood.

Yes we get it Nathan, you went on here to rehab your image. Please change the record and start a new conversation that isn’t about Collingwood.

Brooke is a hoot. Never heard of her but am grateful they casted her.

Poh is probably my MVP. Funny, engaging and warm. Always interesting and entertaining without being OTT or desperate for the airtime.

Enjoying no name David. Really loved his challenge.

Emily is quite interesting and really enjoying her so far. Her deep and meaningfuls are coming across as insightful without being boring. Probably the biggest surprise for me.

Maria I loved but Joey has taken her shine off and she doesn’t seem as outgoing as of late. I hope she can shake it off because I want to see more of her.

Davina & Dylan are both likable and entertaining as well.

That definitely sounds like Tottie Goldsmith going in. Hopefully she does well.

The episodes are definitely too long. I don’t think I’ve watched one episode all the way to the end yet except last nights.

That shock challenge was crap though. Celebs acting even more over the top and hammy than usual. So childish and juvenile.

Glad they are finally handing out real punishments for rule breaches and it produced the first truly interesting scene. Nice to see Beau’s mask slip and enjoyed to see how they all handed it. More of this please.

Not surprised to see the overnight ratings are down on last year as despite being for the most part enjoying it it is starting to feel incredibly stale. I’ve FF’d through most of Chris & Julia’s scenes. They occasionally say something truly funny but a lot of the content is tired and done to death AAAAYOOUUUU.
