I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

Oh I thought it could have meant that if Travis left they were saying ‘Your AFL team mates would be so proud of you’ in terms of what he has done in the Jungle.

Maybe it’s just the fact that the joke isn’t remotely funny? I dunno :face_with_monocle:

Why did she leave?

Phobia of snakes. They saw one earlier in camp.

Whilst I get it, I’m a bit like… wouldn’t snakes be the bare minimum of what they would throw at you when signing on?

I guess so but even if they say they will give it a shot, until they are in that moment, they then normally cave in again.

I work with someone with similar phobia sensitivity. We moved offices one had stairs the next one had elevator, and she resigned as she couldn’t work in a building with a lift, due to phobia of the things.

Yeh. I get it. But like for me, I am the same with snakes. I cannot look at them. Even in a zoo or a glass cage or whatever. So I wouldn’t go near this show to begin with. Knowing they’d be there.

With Mel’s exit, the red team is down to three members which would put them in a disadvantage because team competition starts in tomorrow’s episode (day 5 of competition).
Also looking forward to Russell Coight (Glenn Robbins) as special camp guest tomorrow.

I’m not on dippas side… how is a woman ‘asking for it’ just because she is wearing a bikini. That does not give anyone the right to do what they want to a woman. Anyone should be able to wear what they want and there should never be an excuse for a man to do what they want to a woman. Completely terrible comment for him to make.

And she makes a good point. Young girls should feel comfortable wearing what they want without thinking men are just allowed to do what they want to them. And it’s good she said something and stood up for herself there.

I know some of us men might not understand it but it’s a real issue. And sometimes we need to put ourselves in the shoes of the opposite sex. I know a lot of people in this forum went on about how you don’t understand what’s it’s like to be in a lockdown because you weren’t in Melbourne etc. perhaps take that advice and think about how it would feel to grow up being the opposite sex.

It has been a running joke by @imacelebrityau over the past few days re people carrying on about “when are the celebrities going in”.

Just a bit of fun that gets quite the response on Twitter.

From our local paper, Western Advocate, Bathurst:

It’s Dailymail, they love to use the words SLAMS, OUTRAGE etc… Imagine if they just said Chezzi had an opinion. No one would click,

I’m not talking about the ‘asking for it’ part. I’m more talking about at first it was just tongue in cheek similar to how Abbie the other day told Ash to put a top on. Did he go on about it too much? Yeah probably though.

I think it is Dipper just talking about what someone in his generation would say considering he is 40 years older than her. I just am standing up for Dipper here I suppose as he is one of my favourites and known as a legend in AFL circles so naturally I’d side towards him.

I know my grandparents for example (male or female) wouldn’t take too kindly to seeing their children or grandchildren going around places in revealing clothes.

A point does need to be made though I suppose that she was going to the pool but yeah. I probably see both sides.

I do get though that it’s her body and if she wants to showcase it, credit to her. I personally don’t agree but I’m not Abbie and everyone should have a choice of how to dress themselves.

Of course it’s his generation. He isn’t the only one that says it. But that doesn’t make what he said right. And it doesn’t excuse that sort of behaviour. It should be called out. And just because he is your favourite doesn’t mean you can’t say what he said was wrong.

It doesn’t matter if she was going to the pool or heading to the church. It doesn’t mean she is asking for it. Or gives a man the right to do what he wants to her. This sort of thinking needs to be stamped out. If I walked outside naked it doesn’t give people the right to grope me. You still need to ask permission.

Hold On To Your Akubra, Jungle King Russell Coight Is Stopping By.

Tonight On I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Let’s face it, our precious campmates could do with a few tricks of the trade when it comes to toughing it out in the Australian bush.

Who better to impart outback wisdom than the man, the myth, the legend: Russell Coight.

Tonight Russell Coight will drop in for a chinwag with I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Dr Chris and Julia Morris, and while we can’t guarantee he will know any of our celebrities, we can be sure that he will be able to demonstrate the best way to survive alongside the Australian wildlife that our celebrities are sharing camp with.

I am not talking about the asking for it part!!! I don’t think anyone should touch anyone regardless of what they are wearing. The asking for it part I think he shouldn’t have said however I agree with Dipper that she should at least ‘put some pants on’. Not because she is ‘asking for it’ but more so because I think anyone (male or female) should at least have some decency to be half dressed at a minimum. I would never walk down the street in my undies, or my top off. I won’t even go to the beach with my shirt off because I respect that some people might not want to see people with their tops off. I can see you still won’t acknowledge my views here but I think my point is valid.
By being dressed, it at least respects those who don’t want to see that. Please don’t say I am referring to (or agreeing with) everything that Dipper said because I am simply not.

I come back to what Abbie said last week too when Ash came in with his top off. She said could you at least dress yourself- or similar lines to that. Where was the outrage at that? Hmm???

She was going for a swim… she wasn’t walking down the street.

I didn’t realise it was on last week. But if it actually happened this week I didn’t hear that comment. And I’m not sure what context she said it in. I have listened to her podcast and I know the angle she directing this at and it’s the it’s your body you do what you want with it but it doesn’t give a man the right to think it belongs to them and they can do what they want.
