So if I can get it today from JB Hifi, what was the whole on sale from March 10 thing for?

Harvey Norman have added it to their website - preorders for a 11/3 launch

JB wouldn’t let me take my order, despite the text message saying “ready to be collected” as it would “break embargo”.

I showed them photos of people online already receiving theirs in the mail, but they didn’t care.

Frustrating.

Curious to know why you guys are ordering this. Is there a specific feature you’re after (such as the bundled discounts)?

I ordered it for the same reason I read this forum

Interesting tidbid:
So only the Foxtel-owned apps can integrate directly into the platform?

Note: This doesn’t apply to Netflix or YouTube. Due to contractual agreements, Netflix and YouTube titles cannot be added to your Hubbl Watchlist.

Note: Due to contractual agreements, Disney+ titles will not appear in Hubbl’s Continue Watching carousel.

Not really sounding as universal as they’re saying.

It sounded too good to be true. Integrating APIs from all these services is a difficult task and requires them all to be on the same page.

Just got off the phone with Harvey Norman - I can’t pick mine up until Sunday at the earliest. The box the units came in have a massive embargo notice on it according to the guy I spoke to

I’m after a second streaming device for my other tv so the timing is good. It might also be an option for my parents

The bundling is handy

Definitely curious to get a few to replace the outgoing Telstra TVs in my household. It’s between this and Apple TVs and an HDHomeRun box. Hubbl is cheaper, but something tells me the Apple TVs will end up being the better option. Will wait for some reactions to Hubbl and see.

This^^ Tbh from everything I have read about this so far I wouldn’t rush out and get one unless it has a major software update.

The more detailed reviews should start coming out this week so these should explain a lot.

hopefully its a better device than the awful foxtel now box

What was bad about that? Everything I heard about that was that it wasn’t that bad as it was android based and the availability of apps was a lot bigger than what this thing has.

Hubbl is the first device to show the major free to air apps on its device
