it does but theres still a bit of clickign about to get to select the inputs. it defaults to the hubbl interface and you need to click a few times to change the input
Sky Glass in the UK goes back to a basic TV interface (still has access to the FTA stations) when not connected to the internet. Iâd imagine itâd be the same for Hubbl Glass, so I guess it wonât be completely bricked at the very least.
I might disconnect it from the network and see what happens
The same interface is available on the Hubbl boxes too either by having no internet or by going to the Apps and inputs page and selecting the tuner - thatâs how you can access the channels straight from the tuner which arenât in the main guide and interface. e.g. radio and other shopping channels etcâŚ
Does the normal tv guide with the IP channels show channels from the antenna while connected to the network or do you have to still go to that seperate page?
i paused the internet to the hubbl glass and booted it
as i had already scanned in the FTA channels it gave almost the exact same experiamce as the video.
It begins
Standard procedure to minimise duplicate roles. I wouldnât be concerned.
Bought a hubbl from marketplace for $10 to use in the home office. Being a long time Apple TV user my expectations were high so I was surprised how good the device was after using it for a couple of days.
Hereâs hoping DAZN maintain it and add their own apps to the device.
Hubbl has improved a lot over the last 12 months. Itâs more responsive, quicker and it recommends some good shows. Itâs only downside is that I now have Netflix, Stan, Binge, Disney and Apple TV. I need to cut downâŚthatâs the plan anyway.
Lodged a support ticket to get a new remote 2 weeks ago, had a response within an hour asking me to confirm my email address on the account. Did that and have had no response since, even after asking them multiple times what was going on. I was lucky that I was able to borrow my parents remote for a few days and then got a learning remote from Kmart so that I could program most of the buttons in that but itâs a bit ridiculous since thereâs no way of controlling it without the remote and since the remote is very non-functional after an accident with the reclining mechanism in the couch itâs not going to be repaired. Using this as a life lesson for the kids - donât lose the remote and if you do, donât keep reclining when you think you hear something crunching in the mechanism!
beIN SPORTS CONNECT has been added to Hubbl.
Same with the IQ 4/5.
Are they not updating the IQ3 anymore?
Theyâve been selective with apps on the iQ3 for a while. I think theyâre running out of app storage.
There are a few problems with the Hubbl Hub.
First up, the price. If Iâm in JB looking to modernise an older TV, Iâve got plenty of easy, plug-and-play options that donât require much tech knowledge. An Amazon Fire Stick starts at $69 and actually offers more features, while the Hubbl comes in at $99.
They really shouldâve followed the razor-and-blades modelâsell the device cheap (say $30 or less) and make the profit back on subscriptions.
That said, the Hubbl isnât terrible if youâre the right audience. I picked one up for my mum, whoâs not tech savvy and couldnât install a satellite dish because of body corporate rules, and it did the job well enough for her.
Great. I now have an expensive paperweight.
I saw this happening when it was first released. But apparently they are still going to support it but wonât receive new features so not as much of a paper weight just yet. It was priced too high trying to solve non existent problem. Amazon and Google had the right devices for the right price.
I would say the device will still work for the next year maybe 2 until the apps that hubbl use get depreciated.
The only winners from Hubbl were Hamish & Andy
