Only to pave way for the return of Domestic Blitz and Backyard Blitz coming soon to Seven
After winning the season with Rhi, Kimmy is turning her attention to her backyard.

As people know backyards werenāt being done this season, so we decided to go from this to this (scroll for more photos). Once the weather is warmer weāre going to tile this area and add some hanging plants
Big shout to Quill Construction for the work, they made the inside look great, so thought they should do the outside too.
Next is to paint the whole house, work on modernizing the front yard and remove a weird gazebo I have in the yard

I finally watched the grand final. I couldnāt initially work out where the house was, but did at the end of the renovation when one of boys ran across the road to the Nepean Shopping Village to buy an iron.
As with pretty much all previous charity renovations it was all finished and looked good. I was surprised with the judges giving lots of 8s and that there were no 10s. I think the boys did a better job and probably should have won. The girls kitchen was good, but not spectacular, and was a bit too big for the house.
After winning the title, Rhi had used some of the winning prizemoney to buy a new home in Launceston and started her own renovation project.

Welcome to our new project!!

One of the things we absolutely loved about this house is that the layout was pretty much perfect, which means no walls to move!! What a treat
We are calling this Reno a āCosmetic Renoā as alot of the flaws will be fixed with paint and some fresh tiles etc etc
The bathroom will happen later on the year when Rhiās dream tiles from @tilecloud in October!
The house has heaps of old school features that we really enjoy like a linen closet in the hallway and seperate toilet! We canāt wait to show you what we get up to in the next few weeks!!
Oh no! Iāve never heard of this Netflix disability before.
Iāve never had a āfacial treatmentā so I donāt know where this leaves me.
My memory of their time on the show had Nicole coming out as the ānicer oneā, compared to Fiona. The article said they were the second team to leave, so how many episodes were they in? I assume six?
Fiona and Nicole were eliminated at the end of 24-hour fix-up challenge, so 7 weeks in.
Most of these competitors are quite forgettable after the show is over.
Thatās what I thought too. Generally if people recognise them they tend to think theyāre people they went to school with etc, rather than someone from a tv show.
Jessica Dover, who competed on House Rules season 6 with boyfriend, former Adelaide Crows player Jared Petrenko, gave birth to a baby boy named Sebastian last week.

Exactly. Even if it was traumatic getting yourself into a lengthy legal battle over it isnāt going to help you move on.
The show has been axed / rested for next year.
Jared Petrenko and Jessica Dover, who competed on season 6 of House Rules, have separated.
Jessica also revealed on her Instagram that the former coupleās marital home in Adelaide, which was renovated during the show, was on the market with an auction scheduled for 9am on May 22.
Wonder how many of the homes are still owned by the contestants - not many I suspect.
I guess itās safe to say this is done - even with the flops this year canāt see Seven returning to it next year. Even if the ratings were passable I think the costs make it a non-starter at the moment.
How is this news? Iāve never heard of either of them.
I think itās the potential state border lockdowns and the risk of shutting down production which would still be a big worry for them. They had to cut the last season short for this reason so they wouldnāt want to risk it again.
It was the most-viewed property on realestate.com.au this week.
UPDATE: the home was sold at auction for an undisclosed price.
Disney owned American streaming service Hulu has acquired House Rules. Season eight, hosted by Jamie Durie and Abbey Way, became available on the platform today.
