If it is H&A, Ray Meagher is contracted until 2027. So for ‘big names’, that could be any of Georgie Parker, Lynne McGranger or Emily Symons I reckon.

Ada? Been on since 2000 and became one of the show’s favourite stars. Overtook her rival commensurate Carla Bonner’s run (Steph Scully on Neighbours) sometime in 2011.

Jacqui Purvis (Felicity). Her 3 year contract is up and she hasn’t been seen filming for months. Looks like the current storyline with the shooter in the bay will be her final scenes.

I don’t think she is a bad actor but the character she is playing is just a selfish annoying brat. I am very happy that character is leaving.
She’s had some very powerful storylines and I thinks she’s done them well.
Does the story say the stars are leaving the show for good? Lynne McGranger is taking a long break from the show while she performs in a musical on stage.

Matt Evans (Theo) was on The Morning Show and said that one of the characters will die next week.

In all seriousness I’m wondering if it is Karl and Susan from Neighbours and this retirement home storyline is to fill the gap of their departure by having older characters around?

He did already leave for over a decade in the 90s IIRC, coming back after much fan and producer pressure in 2005.
Not too dissimilar to Janet Andrewartha (Lyn Scully) on Neighbours, who left at the end of 2006 after 7 years, but after being asked for a guest role in 2008 and again in 2009, she was begged to stay on as a series regular once more and re-joined the cast at the end of 2009, departing in mid-2011.
Rumour has it that it may not be the character mentioned previously because they were supposedly seen filming recently, although this comment may be to put us off the track. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Previously when 7TWO was launched episodes were shown every Sunday. It stopped around the time classic episodes stopped being shown.

I remember Ten encored all 5 Neighbours episodes for at least a few weeks at the very start of the 2010 season on Saturday from 2:30pm, leading-in to Ten Weekend News. This was the 25th Anniversary year, when Andrew Robinson (Jordan Patrick Smith) joined, also the show’s last on the main channel and the final for Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner).
