Home and Away

Is Tony Bonner his dad

No and he’s not his grandfather either.

There was a story about Tony and Carla years ago. The story mentioned that even though they share a surname, they are not related.

His grandfather, James Bonner, was a former Mayor of Manly in Sydney. His father, Frederick Bonner, was a musical comedy actor at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Sydney.

I believe Carla has German heritage. Her father was Peter Bonner, who died when she was a teenager.

Sam Frost’s awkward Home & Away swipe:

Highway to the danger zone

The unmissable return of Australia’s #1 drama

Australia’s #1 drama, Home and Away , is back with a bang starting 7.00pm tonight on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Mia (Anna Samson) is on the run with the evidence of Chloe’s (Sam Barrett) unspeakable crime hidden in the boot of her car. When stopped by Summer Bay’s resident cop, Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), Mia is out of options and forced to face up.

Will Mia take the fall for Chloe’s actions or tell Cash the truth?

Ryder’s (Lukas Radovich) life hangs in the balance after a social media challenge fail saw him buried alive in last year’s nail-biting season finale.

His only way to freedom lies in Theo (Matt Evans), who has taken a tumble and is last seen lying motionless in the bush.

With oxygen levels running dangerously low, and no one aware of their whereabouts, luck looks to have run out for Ryder and Theo. Will this one mistake cost them everything?

Don’t miss the action-packed season return of Home and Away 7.00pm tonight on Channel 7 and 7plus.

“She needed to be with her family and they’re down in Melbourne, but the door is definitely open for her to come back, and I’m sure as we speak she is in negotiations with producers,” McGranger added.

“I can’t speak for Sam but she really missed her family in Melbourne and that’s where she needed to be. She’s never made a secret of the fact she struggles with anxiety, and producers being clever and compassionate said, ‘You go and do what you need to do Sam, the door is open for you to come back and we’d love you to come back.’”

You’d think Roo would know basic first aid skills and medical lingo

It was an okay start to the season I guess.

By far my favourite bits involved Roo and Martha. Nice to see a character inspired arc instead of the tedious bed hopping and crime antics. I also really enjoyed Alf and Roo tearing into Theo over Ryder.

So Ari will either get banged up or go on the run. Can’t say I care one way or the other, just please take that using bitch Chloe and waste of space Mia. Take Bella & Nikau too. Have the whole extended family go on the run.

Though I really hope Nik tears into Chloe for allowing someone to take the rap for her. Better yet why can’t Nik just go to the police and say Chloe did it. He is far closer to his uncle than his insta ‘cousin.’

Also why couldn’t Mia & Chloe lie and just say he hit his head on a rock and they moved the rock to administer CPR. Two witnesses and a victim that couldn’t talk back.

Ari (Rob) has left the show apparently is back in NZ .

I doubt he left, he most likely got let go, or has been written out temporarily for storyline purposes. I hope he does return to the show I personally like the character and would like to see better writing in all honesty. Home and away is very stale atm for the most part

Apparently he finished filming in October, so presumably he’ll be on air for another month or so.

That’ll be sad if its true and it most likely is the case.

Given the alleged friction backstage I can’t see him returning. Rob hasn’t liked the writing for Ari for a long time (Can’t say I blame him) and if it’s one thing you do, you never criticise the precious writers on H&A, they tend to get spiteful and you don’t last too much longer after that.

Sam Frost wrote on Instagram (Believe by Sam Frost) on Friday that she left Home and Away for mental health reasons, not because of COVID vaccine concerns.

I quit my dream job at Home & Away to look after my mental health. I needed to take a step back, go home and be with my family. And most importantly take good care of my health and well-being. I now spend the days with the people I love, doing the things I’ve always wanted to do but couldn’t because I was too busy working. I spent 4.5 years being a distant friend, a distant girlfriend, a sister who couldn’t be there for big milestone moments. Now, I’m making up for lost time. I’m prioritising my health and my relationships. Sometimes I wake up and panic about money, work and being able to afford my mortgage… but then I remind myself the importance of putting our mental health first, and taking time out to heal our mind, body & soul. The rest will fall into place #healing

I wish her all the best!!

Whilst it’s good that she’s become healthier mentally, if that was the reason then what was all the fuss about getting vaccinated for? Rumours say she’s triple vaxxed so was she just stirring attention of the public?

I hope Sam is okay whatever the reason that caused her departure. I would love to see her back one day as she slotted in effortlessly in the show and Jasmine worked well with all the characters.
