I wonât take the piss about the television royalty hyperbole, but isnât he a little young for the role?
Anyway ever since lockdown and the drought of Australian dramas Iâve been watching H&A and enjoying it quite a lot. Beautifully filmed and very well acted for the most part.
I wish the silly crime element would be canned though. Itâs incredibly unrealistic, especially seeing Ari & Tane take on a hoard of villains with some OTT choreographed martial arts moves and wiping the floor with them. I thought my eyes would roll out of my head.
Also I donât like the emotionally manipulative writing for Ari & Tane. No matter how much the writing focuses on how much their respective women love them and how family orientated they are at the end of the day the day they are nothing more than thugs and criminals that hurt innocent people through their own stupidity and selfishness. Alf actually praised them for saving Ryder when he was kidnapped, yet didnât address if it wasnât for them and their illegal actions he would have never been kidnapped in the first place.
Also Ziggy kicked Dean to the curb for lying and covering up for a murder, yet she jumps straight into bed with Tane who used her workplace to hide drugs which caused a problem for her boss and almost cost her her job, sits back and sees how many innocent people get caught up in their activities and still doesnât have a problem with him yet still canât forgive Dean. Make it make sense.
All Ari ever does is seemingly sponge off women or uses them sexually. Has he paid back Mac yet for selling her car to stop the gang?
Harley Bonner is 29. So, no.
Also, when do soaps stick to reality? Didnât this show have Orpheus Pledger as a teenage character who became a doctor practically overnight? ![]()
I think the nod to television royalty is in relation to his mum being a Scully. Scully is to Neighbours what Stewart is to H&A.
And of course, you donât have to be the King or Queen to be a royal. You can be the not so successful relation.
I barely notice any social distancing in the show people seem close together? Jasmine and that Dr in bed together etc.
Home and Awayâs fateful Easter
Australiaâs #1 drama delivers 90-minute special
Get set for a shocking turn of events as Home and Awayâs dramatic 90-minute Easter special airs Monday, 5 April at 7.00pm.
Mackenzie (Emily Weir) is in love, but the man who has her heart has left for another woman. With Mackenzie expecting his baby, she has a life-altering decision to make.
Crippled with indecision, Mackenzie receives a sign from the universe but it may be too little too late.
Right as she reaches a moment of clarity, Mackenzie is gripped with severe pain and collapses to the floor with no help in sight. Will mother and child make it through the night?
While Mackenzieâs future hangs in the balance, Christianâs (Ditch Davey) fate is brought in to question when he is forced to make a move that may cost his career.
Get ready for a wild ride when Home and Awayâs 90-minute Easter special airs on Monday.
Tomorrow nightâs episode will be shown on 7two in some states because of the football.
A 90 minute Easter Special for Monday. Nice spin from Seven. Lol. Isnât it just the normal 3 episodes put together?
Yep. I believe there is a genuine mega episode coming up soon but people will just assume itâs three episodes stuck together again. Big mistake Ch7.
According to Back to the Bay fansite, next Mondayâs mega episode is counted as three episodes (7524-7526).
Why are people fooled into thinking anything else? We know the show is made as half hour episodes all year round.
Itâs obvious that if Ultimate Tag hadnât been a flop, then Seven wouldnât have run the triple episodes now.
Whatever happened to Summer Bay High?
No principal since Maggie left, not sure if Roo still works there, no students left.
Itâs seems to just be a cycle of Cops & River Boys.
I asked this on another forum and someone said they think it has something to do with the number of extras needed with social distancing and number limits.
Though if not that, there arenât many school aged kids on the show ? Nikau works at the bait shop, Bella is at Tafe? Ryder and Chloe work at Salt etc.
Wow. As much as you know sheâs been around the industry for a long time, and since departed, I still donât think of her as that age. Bless.
If anyone remembers Colleen , Lyn Collingwood is 84.
Hereâs a video I found of her in 2019 June, she looks good for her age.
Thatâs the latest version of closing credits which are now shown only outside Australia.
