It’s boring already and the storyline only started this week.
That’s my point though. If we went to two episodes a week the pace would be off and we’d be still having this storyline in 3 months time.
Neither were soapies like Sons and Daughtersand Young Doctors in the 80s written as hour-long episodes but the stations often chose to show them like that.
And The Sullivans.
Has the caravan park been shutdown during the COVID-19 restrictions in NSW or is it populated mostly by long-term residents so it’s exempt?
True, though some episodes were produced as hour-long episodes and split in two for repeats/international sales.
Both H&A and Neighbours are now on shown on Channel 5 UK on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
When they brought the River Boys in, which was a really good concept, it rated very well.
I disagree with Georgie on this one. The River Boys is where the soap’s ratings begin to slip.
The UK is going back to 5 nights a week from next week IIRC.
Meanwhile, a bit surprised that 7 are returning triple episodes from tonight. I’m happy for it as I enjoy the show, but I thought they were worried about running out of episodes…
Nobody said that apart from a speculating actress and people here.
Maybe they want to burn through episodes and try some other things at 7pm and see if anything takes…or maybe they plan to launch the first weeks of Big Brother at 7pm and see what happens.
Ch7 would’ve allowed for a two week break during the Olympics which they’d now have to fill, so it seems odd that they’d start rushing through episodes, especially when they know there are less viewers for these triple episodes. Makes me think you may be right about putting BB at 7pm, which actually wouldn’t be a bad move. It would be interesting how it goes up against The Project.
I suggested that a few weeks ago.
I really hope they don’t. It’s not good for Home and Away to keep being screwed around.
That’s true too.
I don’t see the motivation in screwing around a show that’s been on for 32 years and provides 11 months of consistent Australian drama content for a reality show that will go for 6 or 7 weeks.
Seven only have Home and Away until they launch Between Two Worlds. It needs to be respected.
Lynne McGranger tweeted to a fan this week that there were no concrete plans to resume filming yet.
Meanwhile, Channel 5 UK will resume screening the soap from Mondays to Fridays from May 11.
Sarah Roberts features on the front cover of the Mother’s Day issue of Stellar magazine.
Cameron will debut next week. He plays the singer-songwriting father of one of the show’s popular regulars who wasn’t expecting to ever meet him, according to News Corp.
Dad to Ryder
H&A starting to look interesting with Cameron Daddo and the new hunk being featured in the promos.
