Home and Away

Haven’t you noticed that has been happening for about five years now?

Time to go back to 5 episodes a week, on every weeknight. Better Homes would do better entirely on 7TwO in afl stated anyway

Yes, but my understanding was that a three-episode block tended to happen later in the season to catch up. As this is the start of the year, I was expecting only two episodes on a Thursday as they hadn’t dropped any they needed to fit in elsewhere - but evidently they are classing the last two or three weeks of episodes as dropped and needing to be squeezed in.

Of course. They still need to fit the same number of episodes into the year. Didn’t they have multiple episodes at the start of last year too?

Neighbours is by far the more superior soap. Way ahead of HAA when it comes to diversity. The the storylines are way more heartfelt and most importantly, you can have a laugh while watching the show.

Seven need to dump HAA from the main channel and move it to 7Two or 7Flix.

Hmm, don’t necessarily agree with that though you do have a few good points.

Home and Away needs to get some old characters to make a return so that the familiar feel of the show can come back. At the moment it’s like watching a bunch of amateurs and newbies having a hard time with their lives. It needs to go back to the family focus, instead of having new people invade Summer Bay all the time.

And less violence too. Too many good characters have been killed off because the writers added violent stuff in the script.

Home and Away will be shown on 7Two in Melbourne and Adelaide.

Has this happened before? Moving to 7Two, even if it is for two markets?

AFL is shown in those markets? So it probably will just a once off?

That night is the AFL season opener (Richmond v Carlton). But wow, showing new episodes on 7TWO is a first.
According to the schedule posted by TV Cynic, that episode will get a late night repeat in Melbourne and Adelaide, after The Latest.
It will also affect NT and Tasmania given they are taking the match live.

Get used to it.

Will this be a regular occurrence in the AFL States?

I think it will just be a trial given only one episode will be shown next Thursday week (March 21), normally it will be 2-3 episodes. WA is an AFL state but will have the Thursday episode on main channel, with AFL shown live on 7mate.

Apparently Frankie J Holden and Amanda Muggleton have signed on to play Robbo’s parents.

I really like it when H&A/Neighbours etc use established actors rather than signing up unknowns.

Yes. Hands down beats the reality show contestants and social media stars they’ve been signing up lately.

Amanda Muggleton is a well known from stage and screen, particularly for her role in Prisoner.

Frankie J Holden was a main character in A Place To Call Home.
