Amelia has been added to the opening titles after appearing in only one episode so far.
There will be triple episodes on the night. Due to the AFL match between Fremantle and Sydney, Sydney and Brisbane viewers will see episode 2 and 3 on 7two, while all three episodes will air on the multichannel in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
Correct me if I am wrong, but has there been less double/triple episodes of Home and Away this year than usual? I know that it was bound to happen in coming weeks with some AFL matches and the Commonwealth Games.
Emily Weir features in the Stellar liftout inside News Corp papers today (paywall)
A childhood fan of the series â who once wrote a letter to producers begging to be cast as the little sister of Vinnie (played by Ryan Kwanten from 1997 to 2002) â Weir spent years getting over her giddiness at just being on the set, and had to acclimatise to pretending that itâs summer no matter when itâs filming.
Probably more to do with the show returning earlier in the year than it previously has (at the start of the ratings season), so during the AFL season, they have been airing single episodes on most Thursdayâs when Adelaide and Melbourne get Home and Away on 7Two.
IIRC, they usually returned to triple episodes closer to the end of the AFL season, so it might be taking a break during the games, hence why we are getting more triple episodes now.
They do it out of the blue and sometimes the double episodes move to a Monday or some other day of the week itâs annoying. I stopped watching it live because of this because I got sick of missing episodes. I watch it on 7plus now but Iâm a few weeks behind.
How do you miss episodes when they are doubles or triples? They still start at 7pm so itâs not like youâre late for them.
Also, they merge them without a break and head straight into the next episode.
Kinda impossible to miss?
I always just catch up on 7plus because I am too busy to watch triple episodes in one hit or doubles
. Life gets in the way sometimes
Yes and if you are out you miss the episodes and potentially miss important plot lines. Not to mention that watching 3 episodes in a row the ads make it a hard watch when I can watch it on Kodi essentially ad free.
Thatâs why I catch up on 7plus so thereâs no reason for me to miss out , I donât even watch it on free to air just seven plus these days.

Until now, Harper has been blissfully unaware of Beauâs sinister side, and oblivious to the fact that he has Sonny (Ryan Bown) firmly in his grip, forcing him to sell steroids at the Summer Bay Fit Gym.
But in Home and Awayâs must-watch week, Harper is given a terrifying glimpse of what her new boyfriend is truly capable of as his coercive control escalates to chilling new heights. Is Harper in danger from the man sheâs welcomed into her home and her heart?
Plus, a shock proposal will rock the Bay, with Dana (Ally Harris) set to pop the question to Sonny. But when Sonny fails to show for the big romantic gesture, the future of one of Summer Bayâs most loved couples is suddenly thrown into doubt. Where is Sonny? And can the once-golden couple recover from this?
