Home and Away

The Brax story line seems to be ending either Monday or Tuesday. So ratings might dip a little from the following week.

But 7 will be happy the big ratings storyline still continues Monday and Tuesday to launch their new shows

See if they played their cards right, which they obviously didn’t with Irene’s departure apparently and ratings dipped straight away, they would’ve had some new stories kick off at the same time as the Brax return to keep people invested.

An average of 965k for last week is amazing. The hyped up return of Brax certainly helped. Just shows that viewers are still interested in local drama. With good advertisement too.

This makes me think that 7 might try to get other fan favourites to comeback - with a good storyline to get the show a little bit more viewership etc.

They have gone from averaging 800-950k to consistently doing 950k+ and topping 1million too with this return. So correct storyline and fan favourite return could be an annual thing if they get everything correct

Fresh faces, the same home you know and love

Take a look at the new arrivals calling the Bay home

Fans have been treated to a sneak peek of what’s coming up in Summer Bay, with the release of a special 90-second teaser highlighting some of Home and Away’s must-watch moments in the months ahead.

Alongside joyous and heartwarming moments with some of the Bay’s most familiar faces are some new arrivals ready to make their mark on the coastal town, including Australian acting royalty, Nicole da Silva.

Nicole’s character, Amelia Carlisle – a new doctor arriving in the Bay – is seen for the first time in the new teaser. Will Amelia find her place in the Bay? Tune in to see what lies ahead for the town’s newest resident doctor, with her on-screen debut coming soon.

Yabbie Creek police station is also welcoming a new recruit when Richie Brezniak (Rocco Forrester-Sach) joins the team. Rookie Richie’s enthusiasm is set to test Senior Constable Cash Newman’s (Nicholas Cartwright) patience, and off-duty, he is poised to make waves with Abby Fowler (Hailey Pinto). Is Abby about to fall for the Bay’s newest heartthrob?

Meanwhile, single mum Harper Matheson (Jessica Redmayne) may be ready for a change in her love life, sharing a romantic kiss with a fresh new face on the beach. Who is Harper’s new beau, and could she finally have found the man of her dreams?

And amid the new arrivals, is the Bay gearing up for one of its toughest goodbyes yet? After being exonerated of the drug possession charge that sent him on the run to Western Australia, Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) has been viciously attacked in prison. A look ahead shows a devastated Mackenzie (Emily Weir) keeping vigil by his hospital bedside, willing him to pull through.

There’s love, loss and surprises aplenty coming to the shores of Home and Away. Welcome home to Australia’s #1 drama.

Home and Away: who gets shot?

Will one beloved Summer Bay resident take their last breath?

It’s all been leading to this. The crime wave that has plagued Summer Bay in recent weeks is about to take a dramatic turn, with a shock shooting set to rock the Bay in Home and Away, on Seven and 7plus.

A string of break-ins and robberies has left the close-knit coastal community on edge, with the unknown perpetrator still at large.

Last night, when Lacey (Sophea Pennington) went to open up the Summer Bay Fit gym, she discovered the lock had been broken… and the intruder was still inside. Could this be the same culprit responsible for the recent robberies? And is Lacey in danger?

As the crime wave escalates to new heights, Yabbie Creek police officers ramp up their investigation, culminating in a shock shooting that will leave one Summer Bay favourite fighting for their life. Who will be shot?

Plus, in the aftermath of the shooting, new doctor Amelia Carlisle (Nicole da Silva) will make her highly anticipated entrance into the Bay, springing into action in a desperate race against the clock to save a life.

The fallout from the shooting will send shockwaves across Summer Bay, as family and friends struggle to come to terms with the devastating events. Who will pull the trigger? And whose life will be left hanging in the balance?

Don’t miss a second of the action as one of the year’s biggest Home and Away moments reaches a dramatic climax.

Home and Away

7.00pm Monday to Thursday on Seven and 7plus

Just gonna put this here & go..

This new cop, Richie.. seems too annoying. Constantly in everyone’s business.

At least the promos show him getting reprimanded for his behaviour.

I still think 3 cops is too much tbh

you would hate a real police station!

Yeah, they got 2 apparently

Have you not noticed the neverending serious crime wave in Summer Bay?

And how it’s conveniently timed with Richie’s arrival?

Richie has brought bad luck to the Bay, god dammit!

The last time Nicole da Silva set foot on the set of Home and Away, she was wearing a bikini. She shared a kiss with Jason Smith, while his friend, played by Chris Hemsworth, looked on from Sydney’s Palm Beach. Sadly, their characters’ romance didn’t extend beyond her one-day shoot.

Flash forward 20 years, and the ASTRA-award-winning Wentworth star makes her Summer Bay re-entrance once again on the beach. This time, she’s clad in a wetsuit, hair dripping from an ocean swim, when she encounters Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher). He remarks after their brief introduction: “She seems like a nice sheila”.

The new regular role of emergency department doctor Amelia Carlisle also appealed on a practical level. Based in Sydney, where she runs theatre and film production company Four One One, with her Wentworth co-star Danielle Cormack, da Silva is solo-parenting her daughter. “It’s important for me to be close to family and community, which a role on Home and Away meant I could do,” she says.
