Just going on previous yearly topics. On what passes as a hit, or a miss (or just a “pass”) in the TV Ratings here in Australia.
Official ratings for 2026 starts next week, but there has been plenty of shows that have aired already in the last 5 weeks of 2026.
Hits already:
The Australian Open (particularly the Semi Finals, and the Women + Men Final.
Married at First Sight
Pass:
Goolagong (ABC)
Miss:
Deal or No Deal at 6.30pm
10 News+. Again.
Calling Goolagong a miss is a bit of a stretch? Rated well for an 8:30 scripted drama where all episodes were on iview at launch?

Pass in overnight figures. Did well in consolidated figures.
I’d argue it did well in overnights, deck was stacked against it with all the sport on and it still pulled pretty strong numbers. But that’s just me.
