Hit Network

We know. You’ve told us enough times.

If you listened to the show you’d hear how quick witted he is and how he always has a fast comeback when they banter.

I tried for about 2 months. Without Marty there Tim comes off as a bit of a wanker, and yes I don’t find his “white wine” everything is gay act funny. Marty brought them back to Earth. It’s way too Sydney now. Vapid and smug.

Gladys for Breakfast would surely give K&J a run for their money??

I notice that Erin Molan has been nominated as Best News Presenter in the upcoming radio awards.

I never realised that she read the news on the program?? So she does that in addition to hosting?

2DayFM’s playlist has completely changed. Almost hardly any new hits played just looking at recent songs played.

Very Mix106.5 sounding which is a shame.

2DayFM needs to keep playing current hits. It’s hard to digest that it’s becoming the daggy mums station.

It already was and now Nova is heading that way too.

And that is why both stations rate so poorly.
KIIS share in the latest survey was more then Nova’s and 2day fm’s put together.

Of course, these two are probably the main reason why KIIS 1065 is currently #1 in the ratings (and why 2DayFM was the top music station from 2005/06-ish to 2013):

K&JO

Without them, it’s highly likely that Smooth 95.3 and WSFM would be the two highest rating music stations in Sydney with the others a fair bit behind.

I have been listening to it this weekend, and surprisingly for an AC station, it is not too bad. They are playing some daggy songs but also some great songs - Ce Ce Peniston - Finally; Prince - Cream.

Overall it sounds more upbeat than previously. I think the music has actually improved over the last week. I’ve been flicking between 2Day, KIIS and WSFM.

Yes, I would agree with that.

Just noticed a voiceover on 2DAY calling it the “All new 2DAY” playing the hits from the 90s to Now. The music mix has been much better over the last week or so. Hopefully that continues.

A bit weird if they are claiming the hits from the 90’s to now, they still are playing at least two 80’s tracks each hour.

I’m sure Mix106.5 would do that back in the day too.

Just had a quick listen online. Starting each hour with an 80s/90s song is very Mix94.5.

On this morning’s Fifi, Fev & Nick Breakfast show on Fox, co-host Fifi Box noted she was at home, Brendan Fevola was at his beach house and Nick Cody was in a hotel.

The show was anchored by Ellie Angel-Mobbs from the SCA Brisbane studios.
