asa month and a bit of days to go and then 7mateHD returns
Iâll probably only watch 7HD for the Tennis. Nothing really in the schedule that really demands that i watch 7 in HD to be honest, if you go buy what they have in the next week or so

Checked this morning and no 7HD in regional Qld.
A bit late so no âexclusiveâ, but they have a switch back date.
[quote]At the completion of Summer, 7HD will return to broadcasting 7Mate in Sydney,Brisbane and Perth for the AFL season.

Pure speculation.
Molky and Peter Ford should complete for the most uninformed media commentators in Australia.
How about Kevin Perry as well to that list.
While itâs plausible, I donât buy it. If the switchover was about showing the Australian Open in HD, it would have happened just before it begins in mid-January.
In regards to the Sydney to Hobart, Seven have missed showing things like the Spring Racing Carnival & the Australian golf season in HD nationwide so I doubt the early switchover happened so the start of the race can be shown in HD
7mateHD will return âafter the tennisâ
So are we thinking itâs possibly permanent then? Thatâs speculation as well as that article . Itâs more plausible
to think that both can be true but whilest 7HD is back for Perth, Sydney and Brisbane for tennis we know that is for sure.
Seven should just confirm either way. But I am leaning towards the left. Seven have burned us before, and they will continue to burn us.
Thatâs good.
Why is regional Qld missing out , can they not spend the money to get HD to the main channel in regional Qld. They are owned and operated by 7 Qld in regional Qld so it isnât an affiliate.
Itâs quite ridiculous when WIN and SC can get HD up and running in regional areas but 7 just doesnât bother.
Almost seems unfair . Wonder what year regional Qld will get HD on the main channel, 2018 perhaps?
As posted in the Watermarks topic, the Gold Coast is not getting a separate HD feed but rather the same as Brisbane so that there wonât be any Gold Coast News on the 7HD channel - how confusing is that going to get?
Thatâs weird. I wonder why Seven arenât able to do a localised HD feed of the main channel for the Gold Coast this time.
Definitely more fuel to âonly temporarily in HDâ speculation fire.
There was a separate feed during the Olympics that included GC local news.
Must have implications for advertisers who are sold spots on the GC service where the potential audience will be reduced.
Especially when theyâre watching 7HD (70) for the next few months seeing promos for MKR, etc. and then expect to see that show on 70, where it wonât be.[quote=âTV_Addict, post:876, topic:279â]

Iâd say the fact they havenât bothered to change it for us means itâs only a temporary thing.
Whenever 7 make a permanent change (i.e. introduction of 7Flix, etc) it is also implemented in QLD. The fact nothing has changed here tells me itâs not permanent.
The Brisbane and Gold Coast feeds shows the same ads. When the feeds are different the same ads are played in the same order.
I think your giving some viewers too much credit. Some of them outside the scope of our obsession probably most likely donât care about 7HD . Most likely will only care about seeing the reality crap that seven folds out of the couch during the year .
Itâs clear to me the two hd split system is here to stay and not sure how long but itâs what we got.
Itâs nice that seven have put the main channel HD for the tennis , it was to be expected but who honestly thinks people would care about it switching over back to 7mateHD at the end of the tennis.
Yes itâs confusing but channel 7 should have at least comr to the table and announce what was going on with the broadcasts of the HD channel was simulcasting for main channel for the tennis. In that press statement they released they only mentioned it how it was going to have HD on the tennis app for $10.
Iâm trying to think as to why there are no brains at channel 7.
See the answer as posted at the official channel 7 FAQ page. HD Broadcasting - #440 by AlanCramer
Just saw a Seven News promo (Sydney).
A bit surprised that there was NOTHING about it that was HD (graphics, supers etc).
Thanks for the feedback Champ!
Nah dw about him. Just write something about how Tenâs the number one network of all time and heâll be off your back
