All Aboard The Knight Bus For A Harry Potter Christmas In Sydney
Sydney is about to sparkle with a bit of extra magic this Christmas, as HBO Max brings the wizarding world to life with the Christmas Knight Bus.
Inspired by the iconic purple, triple-decker bus from the ‘Harry Potter’ films, the Christmas Knight Bus will offer free, festive rides for witches, wizards and muggles alike. Across the magical weekend of 13-14 December, the bus will journey through iconic Sydney locations from The Rocks, through Paddington, to Bondi Beach.
Passengers can hop on or off at either end of the route.
HBO Max and HBO boss Casey Bloys later in the day (Wednesday) detailed that the U.K. and Ireland launch would take place in late March.
UPDATED
Am enjoying Heated Rivalry. Good to see there will be more.
The global streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery that operates in more than 100 countries has just added Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Israel and Greece to its footprint as it moves closer to being available across all of Europe, with the U.K. and Ireland launching at the end of March.
HBO shows have previously been available in the UK through Sky and its streaming service Now. Sky customers will keep programmes that began before the end of 2025, but new original HBO-made programmes will be exclusive to HBO Max.
An agreement between the two companies means a membership bundle including both Now and HBO Max will be available, which all existing Now Entertainment subscribers will automatically be moved to.
Sky got a much better deal than Foxtel by the looks of it
