I’m sure he would have a yearly contract so if he decided to leave it would be next year. This job seems flexible enough to do other things.
His popularity probably meant his fee went up so they cant afford him this whole season. Is his talk show coming back? They might not want to over saturate him
More likely just taking a longer break after doing two seasons of his chat show last year, a comedy series, the panel show and HYBPA.

Also why are they writing it as “9.10” instead of “9:10” and really should include “pm” too…
It’s due to MasterChef Australia semi-final.
People aren’t going to tune into 10 at 9.10am to watch HYBPA…Unless they want to boost The Finish Line (repeat) ratings…

It’s 10’s consistent design style; there’s probably internal documentation somewhere stipulating to use a full stop instead of a colon.
I think most Australian free-to-air channels follow the same ‘language’ - full stops, not colons; PM isn’t specified but AM is*; no 24-hour time.
*hmm, maybe not:
The only channel that comes to my memory that uses a colon in their promos is SBS Viceland - and theirs blinks!
