One of, if not the best guest quizmasters in recent memory, Fatman Scoop, died after collapsing on stage at a concert.
Ed looks comfortable doing this. Seems to be a good host
Hes not Tom but who is!
I was thinking the opposite ![]()

It feels like the teachers away and the kids are playing. Itâs weird.
It doesnât have the same vibe. Does feel like the substitute teacher is in.
Segment 1 is gone. I hope the rest improves.
Ed is a decent host, but there are better options out there. Prefer him as a contestant.
Really enjoying Ed hosting. A refreshing change.
Grant Denyer hosting next week. And David Walliams will be competing.
Ed was okay, Tom just canât be replaced in this format.
Grant should be interesting to see.
Denyer V Pang will be very entertaining for sure
Grant Denyer Steps Up As Special Guest Host On Have You Been Paying Attention?
Monday, 9 September At 9:00pm On 10 And 10 Play.
For one night only, Grant Denyer will stand behind Tom Gleisnerâs hosting podium as he takes this weekâs fast five through the news of the past seven days.
English comedian of Little Britain fame, David Walliams, will be lighting up one of the five contestant seats alongside Celia Pacquola, Hayley Sproull, Ed Kavalee and Sam Pang.
Itâs a huge show, and you wonât want to miss a moment with next weekâs star-studded line-up on Have You Been Paying Attention?
Ed was very awkward and not very good, Chrissie was far, far better when she filled in. Iâm sure Grant will be much better. Show was just not the same.
The chat with the guest quizmaster just felt off.
I too thought Ed was fine as host. Was he great, no. But he was decent enough for his first time hosting.
It was a different feel and Ed definitely not as much control as Tom allegedly has but I still enjoyed the show. Like someone else said it felt a bit like the teachers away so the kids are mucking up but in a way thatâs what the show is always like. The contestants always manage to take control and make a bit of chaos.
Probably prefer Ed as a contestant along with bouncing off Sam but will still watch if he hosts. I reckon it could be good with Grant next week though with a lot of the banter that goes on across all the networks between him and people like Larry and Tom so he can clearly take the piss out of himself and have a good sense of humour so that will be good. Have never been a fan of Chrissie so glad sheâs not the fill in.
Yeah the segment with Kim felt off. It felt like she didnât want to be there.
There was a moment with the final question where she said âyeah, weâll give it to youâ in response to Samâs answer. He even responded jokingly âthe guest quizmaster canât be less interested than meâ she was supposed to tell the answer and throw to a clip of it.
