Favourite moment tonight was when Sam said that he and Cam (a person in the audience) were going to go to an auction on Saturday and scare the shit out of people.
I wish the show would return in mid February. It doesn’t return until mid May.

Why so early?
No earlier than last year which wrapped on the 7th November, and before that was a week later on the 15th November in 2021.

Yep and it’s still early. Non ratings don’t start til December.
I think more or concern would them being able to effectively program Fri-Sun with decent or new content, than squeezing a couple more eps of this great show which already runs for a large portion of the year.

Their deal/contract is probably only for 25 episodes per season.

When the show came back in 2014, it ran from February to September.

26 including the end of year special. I remember that a couple of times when they went over, there was talk that Ten requested more episodes and obviously paid more outside the existing contract.

And when it came back in May, it was on for eight weeks at 9:30pm.
What’s that saying about killing the golden goose? It’s probably a good idea for both the freshness of the show going forward, that it doesn’t run all year long (same with Gogglebox) , and balancing the anticipation of its return by viewers, in prolonging it’s success.
