Harrow

Last night’s ep of Harrow being filmed at the Toowong Cemetery in March

I absolutely cannot wait until tomorrow nights finale. I think it’s going to be fantastic!

Brilliant finale and overall a well crafted second season. Quite interesting how flawed the main characters are in this show and are willing to be quite shonky.

Really like how they ended with a cliffhanger again with a hook for the next season.

Season 3

Ioan Gruffudd returns as lovable renegade pathologist The Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Hoodlum and ABC Studios, a part of Disney Television Studios, have announced a third season of the popular crime drama Harrow, with 10 new episodes filming in Brisbane and throughout South East Queensland from November.

In season 3 international star Ioan Gruffudd returns as forensic pathologist Doctor Daniel Harrow. When a young man who claims to be Harrow’s son turns up dead, everyone including Harrow is stunned – but is the dead young man really Harrow’s boy? While tirelessly pursuing the truth in a host of compelling episodic cases, Harrow is also driven to unravel the mystery of his supposedly dead son and finds himself entangled in a dangerous criminal underworld. But when those closest to Harrow are threatened, he will face an impossible choice. How far will Harrow go to save the people he loves?

ABC’s Head of Drama, Comedy and Indigenous, Sally Riley said: “After last season’s dramatic cliff- hanger, we’re thrilled to be bringing Harrow back for a third season. The amazing cast, compelling cases and stunning Queensland locations have proven a hit with our broadcast and iview audiences and we can’t wait to continue the adventure.”

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk – whose Government has supported the series through Screen Queensland said, “We are delighted to welcome back another season of Harrow to Brisbane. Queensland has become the location of choice for all kinds of screen and stream productions including Harrow which is an excellent showcase of Queensland’s world-class screen industry capability. My government is proud to continue to support the screen industry because it creates jobs, boosts tourism and promotes our international reputation. I look forward to the next season of Harrow.”

Hoodlum’s Tracey Robertson said “Hoodlum is thrilled to embark on a third season of Harrow with our talented cast and crew. The series brings together a unique mix of dry wit, compelling drama and forensic procedural and has established itself a firm favourite with audiences in Australia and around the world. Season three will mean thirty hours produced and this could only be possible with a shared vision and the ongoing support of our partners at ABC Studios, ABC Australia and Screen Queensland.”

Reprising their roles from the previous season(s) are Jolene Anderson (Dr Grace Molyneux), Damien Garvey (D.S. Bryan Nichols), Darren Gilshenan (Lyle Fairley), Ella Newton (Fern Harrow), Hunter Page-Lochard (Callan Prowd) and Faustina Agolley (Edwina Gharam).

How it affects international distribution of Harrow remains to be seen.

I don’t see how an employee leaving a job affects the contract between Harrow and Disney.

IF is claiming the whole division has been axed.

My point is, it might affect future productions bit the existing productions already have funding and contracts.

Filming of season 3 has been halted temporarily due to coronavirus.

While tirelessly pursuing the truth in a host of episodic cases, Harrow is driven to understand the mystery of his son, and finds himself entangled in an underworld of cybercrime, crypto-piracy, and murder. Fan favourite crime drama Harrow returns in 2021

Premieres Sunday 7 February 2021 8.30pm

International star Ioan Gruffudd reprises his role as renegade pathologist Dr Daniel Harrow, in ABCs popular crime series Harrow. Season three premieres next year, Sunday 7 February at 8.30pm on ABC and ABC iview.

When a young man who claimed to be Harrow’s son turns up dead, Harrow stuns those closest to him by revealing he knew he had an estranged son – but is the dead young man really Harrow’s boy? While tirelessly pursuing the truth in a host of episodic cases, Harrow is driven to understand the mystery of his son, and finds himself entangled in an underworld of cybercrime, crypto-piracy, and murder. It’s a fresh, contemporary narrative with a familiar dilemma at heart: how far will Harrow go to save the people he loves?

Ioan Gruffudd not only resumes the titular role of Harrow in season three, but he makes his directorial debut in Episode 2. He’s not the only cast member to take on a new challenge. Two episodes into the shoot, Jolene Anderson, who plays Dr Grace Molyneux gave birth to her first child, returning four weeks later to resume shooting for the rest of the season.

Returning alongside Gruffudd and Anderson in the 10-part season are Damien Garvey as Detective Senior Sergeant Bryan Nichols, Darren Gilshenan as Harrow’s combative colleague Dr Lyle Fairley, Faustina Agolley as Edwina Gharam, Ella Newton as Harrow’s daughter Fern and Hunter Page-Lochard as Fern’s boyfriend Callan Prowd. New Zealand actor, Miriama Smith, joins the cast as Renee Warrington - QIFM’s new manager with a mandate for change; Harrison Gilbertson who plays James Reed, a self-made young man who holds a mirror up to Harrow’s life. An impressive guest cast includes Diana Glenn, Finn Little, Roz Hammond, Kestie Morassi, and Sara Wiseman.

Harrow Season 3 is directed by Ioan Gruffudd, Tony Tilse, Grant Brown, Catherine Millar, Mairi Cameron and Peter Andrikidis.

It went downhill for me after the first few episodes,l didn’t like the main storyline about his son who turned out not to be his son.
It was definitely my least favourite season of the series.
