Great caps. I only ever remember seeing the Seven Nightly News update opener, not these local ones. I thought the local updates opened with a style similar to their actual bulletin opener?
Looking back, GWN did a pretty good job introducing Seven to regional viewers.
GWN had been taking Seven Nightly News on weekends since the early 90’s. National Nine News before that.
I remember in about 97, GWN Weatherman Chris Mills used to voice record a regional weather update on Saturday’s and Sundays during 7news. That was gone by the time GWN became a full Seven affiliate.
Ah, of course. That explains the ‘Tonight at Six’ promo in the other thread.

Interesting that GWN took Real Life from Seven. I thought they always took A Current Affair pre 1999.
