From the writer of Will & Grace and filmed in Queensland, the eight-part series from Future Shack Entertainment and Jungle Entertainment will premiere in 2025, only on Stan.

Stan, Australia’s unrivalled home of original productions, The CW and Roku, today announced the brand new Stan Original Series Good Cop/Bad Cop, a procedural comedic drama from writer John Quaintance (Will & Grace, Workaholics). Starring Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl, Exmas), Luke Cook (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Clancy Brown (Dexter: New Blood, Billions), the series will begin production soon. ​

​The Stan Original Series Good Cop/Bad Cop follows Lou (Leighton Meester) and Henry (Luke Cook), a sister and brother detective team in a small Pacific Northwest police force who must contend with colourful residents, a serious lack of resources, and their very complicated dynamic with each other and their police chief, Big Hank (Clancy Brown) – who happens to be their father.

​The Stan Original Series Good Cop/Bad Cop is created and written by John Quaintance (Will & Grace, Workaholics), with Stan Original Series Population 11 creator Phil Lloyd as co-executive producer. Director and Executive Producer Trent O’Donnell (Stan Original Series Population 11) will set up the series, alongside Natalie Bailey (Stan Exclusive Series Joe vs. Carol), Gracie Otto (Stan Original Series Bump) and Corrie Chen (Stan Original Series Bad Behaviour). The Jungle Entertainment and Future Shack Entertainment production is supported by the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy. Good Cop/Bad Cop is good news for Queensland screen sector jobs

Screen Queensland announced today that cameras will roll from late March in South East Queensland on the new Stan Original series Good Cop/Bad Cop, produced by Jungle Entertainment and Future Shack Entertainment.

The eight-part procedural comedic drama series stars Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl), Luke Cook (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Clancy Brown (Dexter: New Blood, Billions) with Queensland doubling for the US state of Washington, and follows a sister and brother detective team in a small Pacific Northwest police force who must contend with colourful residents, a serious lack of resources, and their very complicated dynamic with each other and their police chief—who happens to be their father.

Arts Minister Leeanne Enoch said the Miles Government’s Production Attraction Strategy through Screen Queensland was backing international productions like Good Cop/Bad Cop.

“Attracted by our state-of-the-art facilities at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast, this production means more than $14 million for the Queensland economy and nearly 200 jobs for cast, crew and creatives,” Ms Enoch said.
