In another recent interesting move, the GOLD101.7 Facebook page looks to now only be dedicated to Jonesy & Amanda content, with GOLD104.3âs Facebook page now renamed simply as, âGoldâ. So I assume both Sydney and Melbourne social content will come from the one destination on Facebook.
The fact socials have been updated, whilst much of the digital has not, Iâd say ARN Perth has to wait for ARN Eastern states to return to work in order to update the website, iHeart app, etc. It looks like ARN Perth have had to âmake-doâ with what theyâve got at-hand right now.
I donât think ARN own that. It took them so long to do this rebrand that other people nabbed the domains first. They can likely grab it after a trademark claim - as domain squatting in .au is not allowed, but thatâll be a longer process.
The main problem I think is that I donât think they have a ânetworkâ domain - thereâs kiis.com.au that redirects to the various local pages. goldfm.com.au is the Triple M Gold website, and most other decent options are taken.
Woo! Make enough predictions and youâll get something right!
I wonder whatâs happening with KIIS X in Sydney and Melbourne. Isnât that supposed to be rolled out too? No idea if itâs alternative or r&b or dance.
If they were smart they should just replace cada with that - especially as presumably these new Gold/KIIS digital stations might replace it in some of the other markets.
Perth for example, they need Gold 80s and the main 96FM station, plus KIIS and then itâs either Cada or CW Remix left over - and I assume the later actually makes them money.
