I think Jan 19 is the only day that makes sense. After all, the KIIS breakfasts were dumped at the end of the ratings period last year.

Based on what ARN did with GOLD101.7, I’d say it’ll be launched in due course when staff are back from break - probably to allow for in case of any technical issues.
It makes sense to do these changes on New Years Day, but it all depends on who’s available to “flick the switch”.
Mind you, 96FM’s Summer 500 (which GOLD Syd and Melb are running) launches soon. I’d say the rebrand will coincide with the countdown, if not, then off the back of it.

I saw that and can only say that’s because the ones who wrote the T&Cs don’t know when the switch will be either.

Interesting how they’re calling it GOLD’s Summer 500 for 96FM. It’s clear the launch will happen in time for this. Plus they’re using the GOLD colours for the design.
Strange that Cruise 1323 aren’t going to air the GOLD Summer 500 countdown as well, because it would be the perfect way to transition from Cruise 1323 to GOLD 1323.
