I would honestly love to know what ARN are waiting for when it comes to the following:
When will we see Cruise1323 get a new logo in-line with the rest of the Gold Network (even if they retain the name Cruise)? Maybe they’re waiting to roll-out Christian O’Connell across Gold Sydney and (what may become) Gold Adelaide in 2026? Essentially, ‘blowing up’ 1323AM with a new brand and new breakfast show.
When will we see/why haven’t we seen a complete re-alignment of 96FM to the Gold Network, including switching the 13 1065 number?
It’s clear that ARN have something bigger planned for both stations here.
Yes, it’s only a matter of time before Perth and Adelaide join the gold network , with same logo, positioning, music and announcers as Gold 104.3 and 101.7.
You can add to that, why haven’t they got a Gold placeholder on DAB in Brisbane? All it would take would be for SCA or Nova to put a Gold station on DAB to block them. That also goes for Adelaide and Perth DAB.
Seriously, why are ARN so slow/hopeless?
They announce to the market they plan to rollout a national Gold network, then do nothing and sit on their hands, giving other operators the chance to screw up their plans. Hopeless company
We’ve all said it before… Gold94.9 is seriously what they need in SEQ. Not many would associate it with the old 4KQ, as that was Classic Hits 4KQ - and this would be Gold94.9, Just Great Songs.
It’s a wonder why they haven’t touched/capitalised on River94.9 yet.
6-9am Jonesy and Amanda ( SYD ) Christian O Connell Show with Craig Huggins ( MEL )
9am-12pm Madigan
12-6pm Rob Duckworth
6-7pm Totally 80s with Jason Staveley
why isn’t river on DAB in brisbane full stop? seems like an absolute no brainer - at least for commuters from Ippy who work in the city. by not being on DAB they encourage people to listen to other stations in there car, and eventully this radios at home change too and suddnly a listener is lost
The only thing I can put it down to is ARN appears to be a company in absolute crisis. Because of their giant mistake with K&J I think they’re literally fighting for survival, and have no people or focus to actually do anything strategic.
I guess breakfast is where all the ad $$$ are… And I think the theory is that if you have a high rating breakfast show, that will flow onto to the workday slots, and it doesn’t really matter who presents those because people usually just want music?
