Christian, Caitlin and Rio jumped into the studio to answer your questions and reflect on Jack leaving the show on a mini podcast today.
Christian really is a good egg.
Itās a shame that Christian has been away sick the last 2 days on Jackās last week.
Nice words shared by Christian tonight ahead of tomorrow:

I believe an announcement is expected on Monday regarding his replacement.
Any predictions on whoāll replace Jack?
Can someone please explain to me why there isnāt already a Gold placeholder on DAB+ in Brisbane? ARN have stated they will go national with the Gold brand so why not immediately put a DAB+ placeholder on air as a music loop until they get their sh#t together? All it would take is for one of their competitors to launch a Gold branded station on DAB+ in Brisbane (or Adelaide or Perth) now and it would kill off their expansion. Are these people stupid or just incompetent? I canāt fathom it.
If I was Nova Entertainment I would immediately put Gold on DAB+ in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth to block ARN. Just use the Coles playlist.
K&JO wave their $200 mill around and say YES
SCA should put the Triple M Gold 92.5 on the Brisbane mux, thereās bound to be some commuters who would appreciate it.
Nova get this so right with Smooth FM - and are rewarded. Itās only natural that the stations that are the complementary format should be first off the rank - you pair KIIS and Gold in Melbourne and Sydney, if you have one half of the equation, you should have both.
That means a digital KIIS in Perth/Adelaide, and Gold in Brisbane.
Triple M Gold is what Triple M should be. Their playlist is just chefs kiss
Triple M Gold on the Gold Coast (callsign 4GLD) used to be known as Gold FM. I wonder if there would be any issues with a āGold FMā on-air branding in the adjacent Brisbane market?
SCA could totally block ARNās Gold rollout by Triple M Gold onto the Brisbane DAB+ multiplex.
Or ARN could do this quicker with Hot Tomato Gold.
Do they have the budget or the brains to do it though
Neither by the looks of it.
SCA probably donāt either.
iām convinced almost no one in australian radio does anymore. too many examples prove that. off the top of my head:
1 - river not on DAB in Brisbane
2 - Putting Kyle and Jackie O on in Melbourne
3 - the disastrous rebrand of the 2-day network to Hit
4 - streaming exclusively on your own app, not being as widely avalable as possible.
iām sure theres plenty more things that come to mind
Yes agree. So many examples of the current operators being completely clueless and not jumping on opportunities. Perhaps itās just a symptom of an industry in overall decline, but still itās pathetic that they canāt still identify opportunities that are so obvious. I mean, the one that is the most inexplicable is River (or even Gold) not on DAB in Brisbane.
I agree with 1 and 3, but I can understand 2 and 4 to an extent.
2 being to help find the $200 mil that K&JO were signed up for (which I think is more the baffling decision itself)
4 I know they wanted the Listnr āhitsā directly (and not via a 3rd party like TuneIn) to help sell ad spots within Listnrā¦
