Wondering if ARN are trying to outdo SCA to see who can destroy their networks the fastest & first?
Get WSFM to No. 1 then rebrand, change the music & sack the Content Director who got you there.
I said it to someone else this morning & it’s not something I ever thought I’d say, but with the Caralis kids rebuilding the SRN, in 18 months time it could be the network to be at & listen to, I bet Nova Entertainment are laughing themselves silly at what SCA & ARN are doing to themselves.

Yeah it’s all very puzzling. Get the station to number 1 then the content director is gone and why not change the name as well whilst you are at it.
Shouldn’t they be celebrating this great success and giving the content director a promotion or award? We live in some strange times. Maybe given I don’t know the full story there is something missing from the story but as an outsider it is bizarre.

Agree, Smooth is probably going to be the big winner out of this, particularly if they (101.7) start playing more recent songs.

As they have in recent times by playing “Die With a Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars quite frequently in the past three or so months since it was released.
I also know they started playing “Trustfall” by Pink in the months since that was released early last year too.

It actually seems like the ARN business model is to build up shows and talent and then can them just as they’re reaching a peak. This is really becoming a regular occurrence. One has to wonder how much longer Jonesy and Amanda can last

I suspect we won’t hear much about it on air until just before it happens.
I imagine it will happen the same day Jonesy & Amanda start in the New Year.

Wonder what took ARN so long to rebrand WS-FM to Gold 101.7 then? It been like 31 years since ARN rebranded KZ-FM to Gold 104.3 in Melbourne
