Hot Tomato remains on top with 16%, up 2.2 from the previous survey. This was followed by Sea FM at 2nd place with 13.2%, up 1.3, then Triple M with 10.9% (+0.4) & JJJ with 8.5% (-0.5).
In the demos, Sea is #1 in the 10-24s, with JJJ topping the 25-39s, Hot Tomato topping the 40-54s (with Sea outrating Triple M in that demo), Triple M topping the 55-64s & interestingly, ABC Classic taking the top spot in the 65+.
In breakfast, itās a close battle, with Hot Tomatoās Galey, Emily Jade & Christo winning the battle with 13.4%, followed closely by Triple Mās Flan, Ali & Spida with 12.8%, and Seaās Bianca, Dan & Ben with 12.2%. In drive, Carrie & Tommy on Sea (17.2) narrowly outrate Hot Tomatoās Moyra & Big Trev (17.1), with Triple Mās Rush Hour with Leisel, Liam & Dobbo a distant 3rd (11.2).
The āOther Stationsā ratings is at 29.2%, which is up from 28% last survey.
Just 3.9% for ABC Local radio. Even adding 2.3 for 612 from Brisbane, thatās a very poor result.
Looking at the ratings in closer detail, itās interesting to note that in the 25-39s, 92.5 MMM (7.0 (-0.4)) is rating not far ahead of Nova (6.2 (+1.2)) & 4MMM (4.3 (+2.5)) from Brisbane.
In the āOther Stationsā among older demographics, in the 55-64s, itās at 30.2% (down from 31.7% in the last survey), whilst in the 65+, itās at 56.4% (up from 45.6%).
Strange to call it a Gold Coast / Tweed survey and not include say 2MW that has a licence area that covers Gold Coast and Tweed.
There could be a lot of listeners in āotherā for Rebel and Breeze and the Brisbane stations. 30% for āotherā is a staggering number.
Brisbane stations are included in the survey, so therefore are not counted towards the āOtherā figure.
Is that just BOG not entering the ratings? Canāt imagine the 0.5 rating is worth the cost of entry.
Wonder if weāll see DAB ratings next survey onward?
The Brisbane stations are all in it. The 30% Other is huge given the number of stations in the actual survey (Gold Coast and Brisbane). But most of the Other figure would be Rebel, Breeze, 94.1 and one or two other community stations.
I guess Rebel Media could not join the survey? Or they are like BOG in Sydney donāt want to pay.
SCA and ARN wouldnāt agree. Iām sure they would pay if they could get in.
