10 seem to be promoting nothing but this show ATM, not saying thatâs bad (obviously they need to), but at the expense of other programming? Seven and Nine never do this, even at the heights (e.g.) Voice and Married, still rotate through promos for various other programs, even weekend movie re-runs.
Watching Roadshow first run âGloria Bellâ (2018) on Nickelodeonâs Nick @ Nite tonight and every single ad break is in-your-face Gladiator plugs, itâs like âwe get itâ, a bit OTT, IMO.
On this overuse of promos thing, I donât think 7 are much better at the moment. In watching the Cricket I have seen enough of the same one Australian Idol contestant singing that godawful Jason Mraz song to last a lifetime.
All the networks could learn to make either multiple ads for the one show theyâre promoting or god forbid promote other shows besides the 2 tentpoles they may haveâŚ
10 really shouldnât have waited until Jan 15 for this. They have two more weeks of 4% ratings. They were successful for two seasons with Iâm a Celeb from Jan 2 and Jan 3. They are starting this shit on night two of prime time Australian open. They just wonât get the figures theyâre looking for.
Theyâre also giving Iâm a Celeb a week head start versus Aus Survivor.
Their strategy is all over the place. Probably just trying to tank the network for some reason.
If an Australian is playing (especially someone like Kokkinakis) or a big name (like Nadal, Joker, Murray, Tsitsipas, Medvedev, Alcaraz etc etc) or both, more so if they progress, itâll be painful for rivals, thereâs also unusually two cricket Tests in the second half of Jan as well.
