The AFL Semi finals got underway with a history making win for Hawthorn over Adelaide averaging just under the one million mark at 994k. The result compared to the equivalent Friday Night Final of 2024 that averaged 1.07 million (with no 7Plus component). Better Homes And Gardens also aired on Seven’s main channel in three markets and did well to get just under 500k.

Over on Nine, the Storm beat the Bulldogs at home as the NRL Finals got underway. The Qualifying Final topped the one million mark to rank third overall for the night. The result was well up on the equivalent Friday NRL Final last year that had 767k.

For those not into football, ABC offered Gardening Australia that was steady with 441k while Professor T that followed slipped slightly to 319k.

Love It Or List It Australia on 10 slipped below 200k after a Deal Or No Deal repeat had 108k. The Brighter Side, later missed the top 30 again.

Nine News was the number one show of the night by a 20k margin after Tipping Point secured another +200k win at 5pm

Earlier, Sunrise was well over 400k again with a +100k margin back to Today. However, The Morning Show that followed (featuring DDr Chris Brown) recorded its lowest rating of the survey and was <30k ahead of Today Extra.
