Seven continued its Friday winning streak, though while still dominant, it was with its lowest Friday share of the AFL season. Nine’s second place was at a consistent 28% while ABC and 10 were both down slightly. SBS landed fourth to beat 10 in network shares, up almost four to its highest share during the survey period.
Seven News got the network off to a good start with its highest Friday rating of the year including another big Sydney win. See the Seven v Nine News Ratings Comparisons topic for more.
Next best for Seven was AFL that ranked ninth while Better Homes and Garden slipped well down the table with main channel status in only two markets.
A Current Affair did well to record its highest Friday audience of the year while NRL made the top 10 though even with last week’s result.
Gardening Australia was the top prime time entertainment offering despite recording a season-low audience. ABC’s dramas that followed all missed the top20.
While 10’s main channel outrated SBS nothing made the top 20 in prime time for either network including the repeat of the first Semi-final of Eurovision (numbers will posted later - just outside the top 20 down 10k on 2022).
Unusual to see both commercial breakfast shows make the top 20.
