Australian Played is a brand used by Nightlife, I wonder if they’re operating the new channels.

The musicmax.com.au domain was updated in February, as well as vmusic.com.au

What channel numbers? I don’t have any of these yet on my iq5

Not available until July - seems like they’re testing on the satellite at the moment

A few more have popped up. It looks like CMC is returning!

In house music stations, probably a cost thing then. Bring on an in house kids channel like Sky launched about 6 years ago.

Wonder how long they’ve licensed the Fox name/Foxtel for and if at some point the plan is to rebrand to Binge or something else, I doubt they’d confuse the DAZN branding

Looks like your correct, countrymusicchannel.com.au was also updated in February and is owned by Foxtel.

It’s interesting they’ve gone back to in-house given one of the reasons offered when the in-house channels were dropped was their cost (especially music licencing)

Its good to see Foxtel returning to their own production again - there is still brand recognition for V, Max and CMC - the CMC Rocks festivals have continued to live on even without the broadcast channel.

With regards to the Foxtel brand - I’m going to put it out there now - rebrand to Austar.

… interesting data point re domain name renewal …

Are these channels currently transmitting test signals as well?

Kids would more likely serve as a replacement for NickMusic than for Cartoon Network or Boomerang. As for Sky Kids, it functions less as an in-house channel and more as a rebranded version of the DreamWorks Channel.I’m not convinced DAZN would have the capacity—or perhaps even the time—to develop a service that matches the quality of previous replacements. Beyond that, sourcing content would likely be a significant challenge, especially considering the damage Foxtel’s former ownership did to key content provider relationships.

Back to the future with the OG names back

No, but they now contain the EPG from the channels they are replacing. Not that it wasn’t obvious anyway, lol.

Test Club→Club MTV
Test Retro→MTV 80s
Test Tranding→MTV Hits
Test CMC→CMT
Test Kids→Nick Music

It’s not the Daily Fail using us for fodder for once :stuck_out_tongue:

I didn’t think they’d mention us by name… I would have expected a more generic “viewers in online forums” label, so could have been noted in Whirlpool or somewhere else.

Not even a shoutout to @WAtvVideos for spotting the max feed! Criminal

These are sounding great revivals and hopefully an improvement to these average MTV music channels. An Australian focused music channel is what I’ve been wanting for a long time. It has felt like such a missed opportunity.
