Foxtel

Wow. I’m surprised this lasted so long tbh.

Foxtel must have decided it doesn’t want to renew its contract with Stingray Music.

Why not take it back in-house then like AIR used to be?

Clearly not seen as an important service

not suprising tbh in a world of streming

Listening habits have drastically changed since the days of AIR. It makes sense to ditch music all together.

That service was also offered commercially to businesses. Assuming those businesses will now need to find another supplier. A couple of years back I saw a Stingray Business media player on top of an amplifier in a Dan Murphy’s Manager’s Office, not sure if they are still a client of theirs.

If they were doing that via a Stingray media player, then won’t this service still be available? How does this affect Stingray media player?

It doesn’t. Stingray Business is a completely different side of Stingray to the music feeds.

The Dan Murphys/BWS system was delivered via internet directly with Stingray and not via Foxtel.

It used to be satellite delivered (piggybacking on Foxtel at one point) by SMA, but it went IP based when Stingray took over.

It looks like the Club World Cup channel is a direct lift of a DAZN linear channel - it includes promos for their content

I believe there will be an Australian-focused music channel launching next month, as well as a return of the Max branding for a second channel

Time to unlock the original Max thread?

Called it? (Please ignore the rest of the post).

I had to change its name before closing when Max streaming launched in Australia as you can’t have two threads by the same name but now HBO has solved that problem for us.
