Foxtel

It’s because the content aired is not reviewed for classification before airing, so they set a blanket classification of MA15+

I mean, with lyrics like “I can do all them little tricks and keep the dick up inside it” it’s probably not such a bad idea.

Yeah, I get that but how much of it would actually be MA15+? Not much I’m guessing.

You could probably say the same about The Comedy Channel a couple of decades ago that did the same thing.

The ASTRA codes of practice states that classifications currently apply to “films, drama programs, documentaries and reality television programs” [NB: going by the proposed update that seems to be stalled, they want to remove docos from this]… so although it’d apply to a mainstream MTV, I’m not sure how much applies in reality to a mostly music-video channel like MTV Hits. With it not being classified though, I imagine applying “default MA15+” would be focused to those that want to use the ratings-based lockout for more than the R18+ channels.

The picture on Aurora has shifted upwards for some reason

Just an FYI- Foxtel Go appears to be broken for anyone who has recently updated their Android device.

The patch that has been rolled out is to become a ‘beta tester’ on the play store.

Instructions below from Facebook:

Credit to this page:

Did the beta test patch and was able to get things working for myself, shouldn’t have had to go digging on Facebook of all places for a solution, this should have been communicated earlier and directly from Foxtel to all customers.

Happens every year, I think it’s the only reason they have any development on the app at all.

So if Foxtel no longer have the rights to The Simpsons what’s the situation with Family guy, American Dad, Bobs Burgers and Futurama?

All gone, sadly.

Wow.

Which FTA channels are still missing from Foxtel’s platform, as in the ones that should be available through the terrestrial tuner but remain ‘blocked’?

Against my better judegment, I signed up for an iq5 box with Foxtel.

The concept is great (plug and play) however the box is very buggy still :frowning:

I have the IQ4 for many years over satellite with zero issues at all after being on cable and suffering from constant pixelation. On Demand is a good feature

Are you also having trouble recording from the MyFoxtel app with the IQ5? Frequently once you press record on the app, it’ll show that’s been added to your list, however if you were to switch on the IQ5 in your library the show won’t be on your record list, but you’ll see a record failure at the time you pressed record on the app.
(have learnt if I’m ever recording something - usually to skip the ads, to find it in the IQ5 tv guide and record from there)

Yes! That has also happened for me.

so it’s not just me, good to know.
Still an annoying “feature” though

I’m now having to reboot my box due to ‘playback error’ every time I’m watching the Foxtel channels via internet (not FTA via aerial’. The message constantly says to log onto the app and chat with them, but when I do that, they are closed.

Honestly, they are so useless.
