Foxtel

I wouldn’t say it’s odd - that’s par for the course for a Murdoch owned company. Blame everyone bar yourself.

This seems like a measured and appopriate response.

Maybe Binge should just do what Petstock does when too many people crash it lol.

Unturnoffable? More like unturnonable…

Does Binge still use that Unturnoffable wording? Thought that was just marketing at launch.

Yes, I’ve seen a few promos lately still with that wording eg. the one for the Friends Reunion special.

I’d just give it to them. Rupe’s got more than enough money.

Yep. I let my free 9 month trial via Telstra elapse and have no real intention of resubscribing. And about to unsubscribe from a lot more besides.

Yeah my Samsung tv went nuts. Started loading and then rebooted the app then rebooted the tv on binge. And I thought it was stuffed because it got stuck on Samsung smart tv startup for 30 mins but then came right

Just did my 6 monthly dance with foxtel.

Got an sms telling my current deal ($115 for platinum across 2 boxes) was going to expire next week.

went to billing and the best they could do is $130 (normally $165). For me, Foxtel is on the precipice of being too exxy and at $130 I would have dumped it. I asked for disconnections who did his thing – “what do you like to watch… we can see youve been with us over 7 years so your a valued customer… etc”

anyway, he ended up giving me 2 STB with platnum for $109 for 6 months

Hahah. We were with Foxtel years ago, and we subscribed to SPORTS ONLY PACKAGE.

After 6 months or so they took at the full $150 per month (without noticing from our bank account). We complained and they didn’t want us to leave and offered 3 months free, which was not good enough. Like seriously why can’t you do a refund?

Foxtel are probably the worse in terms of managing their subscriptions

They’re just so, so old school - in the same way you’re expected to Haggle at Harvey Norman to get a price that isn’t at or above RRP rather than them offering the best possible price based on the competition.

A reminder that they’re an awful, legacy business that is still stuck operating like it’s 20 years ago.

With new streaming platforms, Foxtel is really useless with repeats throughout the day/week. It is also cheaper to get Netflix/Stan Sport etc all then to get Foxtel alone.

With the rise of Stan Sport, I really hope Foxtel lose the rights to some sports because they are just overpriced.

You should of gone to The Good Guys, I’ve heard that you can pay less if you pay cash there.

That stopped being a thing years ago.

especially if Foxtel loses the rights to AFL, NRL, cricket, golf and motorsport.

If the leaked pictures are any indication, the iQ5 will look really similar to an Apple TV or Roku box

@KevinPerry is it still a July roll-out for the iq5 or has that been changed ?

If it isn’t just a glorified Foxtel Now box and has proper recording, rewinding, and an interface that works well than I might have to get it.
