This added mens netball coverage is with the aim of netball being at the 2032 Olympics. To be there, there needs to be a format for both men and women

Everyone else is looking for everyone to be in their sport, why netball is still 1) two separate governing bodies and 2) still not being promoted like women’s sport for “men’s” leagues is beyond me.

Kayo Freebies will stream the inaugural Australian Netball Championships, which will be held at Traralgon in Victoria’s south-east next week. The new pathway competition replaces the former Australian Netball League.

Great news for the 4 people who are aware of kayo freebies or that it even exists.

So there is no “second division” anymore?

Some of the teams involved like Tasmania, Victoria Fury and Capital Darters (Canberra) are “second division” teams.

Yes but you said this replaces the old league below Super Netball.

Noticed they changed from “Origin Diamonds” on the scorebug from Game 1:

Fox Netball takes it to the next level for 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season

Fox Netball is back and bigger than ever, with an unrivalled line-up of talent – featuring new and experienced faces – along with an expanded suite of programming set to build on the success of a rejuvenated Suncorp Super Netball competition on Foxtel and Kayo Sports.

To celebrate, Fox Netball talent including Hannah Hollis, Cath Cox, Bianca Chatfield and iconic commentator Sue Gaudion joined the captains of all eight Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) teams to shoot season 2023 to new heights as part of a joint season launch event with Netball Australia on the forecourt of Victoria’s State Library.

At the event, it was announced that experienced commentator Gaudion will reunite with Cath Cox in commentary this year, with every game set to be hosted live from the game venue, taking viewers as close to the action as possible.

In addition to Gaudion, England international and SSN legend Stacey Francis Bayman and former Adelaide Thunderbirds player Emily Beaton will join the Fox Netball commentary team.

Fox Sports Commercial Director, Rebecca McCloy, said:

“Fox Netball took coverage of Suncorp Super Netball to new heights in 2022, culminating in a record breaking Grand Final show down which saw the West Coast Fever claim their first premiership.

“We are excited to take fans even closer to the action in the second year of this groundbreaking partnership with unprecedented game day access, world class commentary and compelling storytelling from the biggest names in the sport.”

Kayo Sports Executive Director, Cate Hefele, said:

“Once again, Kayo Sports will be there to provide netball fans with the ultimate streaming experience. Last year, streaming accounted for 57 per cent of the total netball viewership so we know how important Kayo’s game-changing features and unrivalled convenience are to fans. And again this year, fans will have access to watch two marquee games per round live and free on Kayo Freebies, plus every game of the finals.”

Fox Netball magazine shows will return next week with Centre Circle, hosted by Hannah Hollis, kicking off each round from 7pm on Thursday nights, followed by new addition The 4th Qtr vodcast at 7.30pm hosted by newcomer Sarah Karaoglu. Fan favourite Pivot returns at 5.30pm after the last game every Sunday, with plenty of players on set to discuss the action from the round.

Fox Netball will continue to give fans unparalleled access to the stars of the game, with player mic-ups, coach headset interviews during play, coaches cameras and bench audio live during broadcast, changeroom cameras to get a glimpse inside the halftime sanctum, net cams and huddle mics, where fans can hear the captain’s rev-up at every quarter break.

A new documentary series, Off the Court, will air throughout the SSN season with eight episodes focusing on a marquee player from each of the eight teams, giving fans an intimate look into their lives and careers on and off the court.

In another huge boost for viewers on Foxtel, select SSN games will be made available in 4K Ultra HD for the first time.

Every game of every round of the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season, including finals, will be live and ad-break free during play on Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
