Foxtel is dead to me. Just Lifestyle and nothing else on
Minimal I would assume, was just thinking given Tubi does have ads, and if theyâre representing it, itâd be better to have it on their platform as an option if thereâs potential earn from ad spend, however incremental.
tubi a Foxtel product now?
Also interesting theyâre now going as âFoxtel Mediaâ corporately.
No, Foxtel acting as their ad agency in Australia - Foxtel Media TV-OOH
No they arent, Foxtel Media is Foxtelâs advertising arm
I am a news junkie - i listen to the BBC world service over night, i watch election coverage from states i donât live in and can discuss current world events in some level of granular detail so youâd think id be perfect for flash - but iâm not paying for it and i wouldnât.
there are a few reasons
1 - i get it for free due to a screw up from hubbl and foxtel (when i switched from foxtel to hubbl there were some account issues thanks to foxtel giving me flash for free when i had foxsat which resulted in major issues and hubbl giving me flash free for 12 months)
2 - even as someone who gets it free, it has a very limited use case for me. unless something MAJOR happens in my commute I donât use it. Last time I did was when trump was found guilty. Iâm very rarely in a situation where i donât at least have a TV available that i can put ABC news 24 at a minimum - even at work we have a TV in the break room with ABC news on IT.
3 - a major thing for me is i refuse to pay extra for news from foxtel because of Sky News. Its a skidmark on the undies of journalism in Australia and frankly, its garbage come 6pm.
even if i, a news junkie wouldnât pay for flash i canât imagine the market would be that massive
Interesting that itâs non-exclusive to Foxtel/Binge, maybe Paramount+ locally just have a second window airing later given itâs being shopped by Paramount Global.
According to Variety, Paramount Global acquired distribution rights from the producers Skydance Sports, Picturestart, GQ Studios and Boardwalk Pictures.
