Live news channels will also be integrated onto Binge: Sky News, Sky News UK, CNBC and Fox Sports News joining the existing channels Bloomberg, CNN and MSNBC.

BINGE will offer more than 3,000 On Demand hours and a 24/7 dedicated channel of the best of lifestyle for foodies, design and property lovers, including global hit franchises and local homegrown Originals including Selling Houses Australia, Great Australian Bake Off, Love It or List It Australia, and more.

The seperate Lifestyle service is still a thing right? I don’t think they’ve launched an app yet on anything but Hubbl.

I guess they might just let it run in the background, without any marketing or thought (like Flash and Foxtel Now).

Pretty bare bones - yeah they pay the big bucks for sport but other than that and a one or two reality formats (Bake Off, Housewives), and one or two scripted shows (The 12, How to make gravy), there’s nothing?

It would be pitiful for a FTA channel, let alone a streamer.

So Binge are also adding the 5 music video channels from Foxtel.

With the sports content and news channels, it’s like a mini Foxtel.

Binge has already added the music channels

Didn’t think House Of The Dragon was not back until 2026?

It’s not. A third spin off is launching late next year but I would suggest it’s not listed as it’ll be on Max.

No Flash logo on this ad from Foxtel this morning is pretty telling, surely it’s been quietly shelved?

From the Unmade newsletter this morning.

Interesting that the Tubi logo is there, wonder if it might find it’s way to Hubbl.

Also not at the Upfronts

‘Instilling confidence despite turbulent content deals’: Reactions to Foxtel’s 2025 Upfront

Danielle Cutrone – Avenue C

Foxtel delivered a strong case this evening instilling confidence despite turbulent content deals (Max/HBO), as well as revolutionising its measurement standards in 2025.

Whilst there was no mention of how the introduction of Max may impact the Foxtel Group in the long-term, both House of Dragon and The Penguin featured within their upcoming programming reels.

Notice the stupid Foxtel Lifestyle platform only available via hubbl is also not there. Is this also gone?

It’s still available at lifestyle.com.au. But it’s only available as an app through hubbl so that’s probably why it’s not on there.

Wonder if there is a long term aim to brand it as Hubbl:

Hubbl
Hubbl Sport(s)
Hubbl News

(Etc)

Foxtel Media started representing Tubi in Australia from 1 July 2020, I guess they could incorporate it at some point?

Though from what i know, it doesn’t really have much presence in Australia, does it?

Never saw much of a point in Flash - was really only for what is a small niche market - would’ve even been less point in getting it since one of the major channels (BBC) left the platform. Easier to just incorporate the channels on Binge.

Yes it feels that way.

Hopefully with these new channels, Binge will have better organisation of the live channels. The carousel it’s currently in will become even more irritating to use.
