Hooper faced the John Maddison Tower where Magistrate Christine Haskett convicted him of high-range drink driving and ordered an 18-month community correction order. Ms Haskett also ordered a six month disqualification period, a two year interlock period, and recorded a conviction for not giving his particulars at the scene of the crash, without imposing a fine.

According to Phil Rothfield in today’s paper, Fox Sports is in talks to extend the contracts of Dan Ginnane and Andrew Voss, who are both off contract at the end of the year.
A few technical glitches towards the end of the PM’s XIII match. Remember there were instances of that in the Pacific Championships last year due to some wild weather in Suva
That’s a blast from the past. Remember several years ago Fox 8 would show matches. Before league got it’s own dedicated channel
Voss was trying to commentate the game for around 15 seconds with no feed until finally having to concede. lol
That must have been very early on, as by 2005 at least, there was FOX Sports 1 & 2, and I think by 2008 FOX Sports 3 was added.
Interestingly enough, i remember it was at a time when Fox 8 was a sleeve sponsor of the Sharks
There were 3 calls for both men and women’s pacific championships games yesterday
Nine: Brenton Speed both Men and Womens (studio)
Fox: Ben Homer for the women’s and Andrew Voss for the Men’s. (both studio)
Sky: Ken Laban for the women’s and Beaven Dewar for the men’s.
Interesting to note that Fox usually take the Sky feed for the NRLW but with less games to call they decided to use their own inserting live reads and whatnot to the coverage.
Seems as though Glen Larmer isn’t being used by Sky for rugby League this back half of the year.
Fox taking the BBC feed as well
What are the Fox commentators?
was also so Fox could show the cricket live if Australia was touring while airing the S12 live too. So Fox8 would show NRL live along with Optus. In 99, there was a NZ game and a Brumbies match that overlapped, so FS1 aired the Brumbies match while FS2 aired the other match and Fox8 and Optus aired the 2 NRL matches. In 2003, they delayed a Waratahs match (against the Bulls) back to 11.10pm due to NRL and the cricket, but they should have put NRL on Fox8 and the Waratahs match Live on FS1.
Mass changes at Fox League sees Yvonne Sampson return, Kieran Foran join team
Fox League’s coverage of the NRL is set to have a fresh set of eyes next year after long-time NRL360 producer Mitch Diffin was anointed as the head of rugby league at the network.
Diffin, who has been at helm of NRL360 for the past seven years, started his new role on November 1 in a move which means Jamie Lockyer becomes the new boss of cricket.
Joe Bromham remains the executive director of sport. Diffin takes charge of Fox League’s coverage with the game in the midst of a golden age.
The good news is that he will welcome Yvonne Sampson back next season following the birth of her boy Darby with husband Chris O’Keefe.
Gold Coast and New Zealand playmaker Kieran Foran is also set to have a permanent role on the network’s coverage of the code as he slips into retirement, sharing his time between broadcasting and his coaching role at Manly.
Couldn’t even head across town to be at the ground? ![]()
They always host from the studio, don’t know if the commentators were there or not.
