NRLW moved to 501 at halftime. The halftime score graphic for the commercial break was showing over the live scoreboard until the 4th minute of play, when somebody noticed and removed it.
For some reason, Foxâs coverage of the Raiders v Broncos qualifying final is being simulcast on FOX8 this afternoon.
Trying to keep people from switching to nine?
Is it for those without the sport package? Similar to having a game in Binge?
Yeah probably. Desperate times at the cable operation.
Does it have a different watermark?
No - says 502
In the early days of NRL on Foxtel, the 7.30pm Saturday game was shown on Fox 8 - I canât recall if it was exclusive to Fox 8.
It was exclusively live in the 98 season when they were playing two games on a Saturday night (one was live on Fox8, the other live to Optus, then theyâd both switch and show the other game delayed) but not onwards. It lasted untill 2002, then it moved to FS2. This was back when Foxtel were trying to make Fox8 their version of 7, 9 and 10. (They had an AFL show during this time as well, plus I believe John Lawsâs talk show, and there were some, possibly not very strong, rumors they were going to show an delayed version of Fox and Friends after it gained a cult following from FNC being shown during FS2 downtime.)
It would be good to see a screen cap of this if anyone ever gets it.
Thanks - do you know what happened in 1997 - were all super league games on Fox Sports two?
We still had East Coast (which was rebadged Galaxy and later became rebadged Optus) here in Newy then, so I donât know exactly, but I THINK it was a Saturday Night game Live on Fox 8, two more games (one saturday, one sunday) live FS2, and Nineâs game repeated at some point in the week FS1. I could go back through the old Aus TV Pay usenet and confirm if you want?
Thanks thatâd be great if you get a chance. I think ABC replayed the Sunday Fox game.
With thanks to John J Fardoulis and Winston Tan (even though theyâre probably long gone by now, itâs still nice to credit the source of your information), hereâs Super League 1997 on Fox.
